(in approx 2 weeks only) then they have been re cultivated in this river. after that their hunting is banned. people can only feed them.

The largest Golden Mahseer ever caught was 1.5m long and weighed 40.82 kg - 90lb 0oz. The Humpback Mahseer (Hypselobarbus mussullah) of south India grows much larger. Globally, the Yellowcheek Carp (Elopichthys bambusa), the Black Carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus) of China, the Mangar (Luciobarbus esocinus) of Iran and Iraq, the Bighead Carp (Hypophthalmichthys nobilis) of Asia and the grandady of them all, the Siamese Giant Carp (Catlocarpio siamensis) of Thailand are bigger than the Golden Mahseer.

At least call them the largest cyprinid, but even then they won't come close to the Siamese carp (Catlocarpio siamensis) which has been recorded to grow to 250 kilos. The Chinese black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus) can reach lengths to nearly two metres, weighing over 100 kilos and the mangar (Luciobarbus esocinus), the largest of the pike-barbels, that lives in the Tigris Euphrates river system, can reach lengths to 2,3 metres and weights near 150 kilos. So the golden mahseer will certainly be one of the biggest cyprinids, but is certainly not the biggest.

I like how every western media production involving india use stereotypical music (so beautiful and relaxing imo) like 0:40. Someone playing the tabala, some woman going ahhh or some deep voiced guy singing the saregama or clinging of bangles. Pretty much feels like they are patronizing indians. Imo it does sound good but its been done in one way or form for the past 50 years whenever there is a scene involving india betraying a tinge of racism within it. Again not sure if its praise or condescendence
