now all you need to do is expand your borders enough that your trebuchets can hit the edge of the map; also try making one of your walls out of massive towers only and only using actual walls as filler

What you should do is make multiple Calvary units to patrol and one to flank enemies during attacks they should be great at taking down catapults quickly and running away before they die and also make sure to get more spearmen to put around the castle walls and the last thing you need to do is to expand the walls to near the cliffs and past the lakes Edit: I forgot to mention since Calvary is faster you should also use them to lure the big hordes towards the main army

What you want is to fill the towers on the outer walls with ballista and then towers further in the city with the trebuchet, allows the trebuchet to hit enemies right below the wall

I’ve made it to day 64 and killed just shy of 24,000 peasants before losing my best run yet. I did save right at the start and labeled the save as “Good Start”.

Use some archers or crossbowman and put them to target strongest. They are a really good counter for siege weapons. You can also put archers on your walls and gates. It is an easy and cheap source of bonus dps

one thing that would be smart when dealing with trebuchets is to use a few units as bait to kite the lobs, and then order your main melee force to rush the trebuchets, since they can't deal with enemies at close range, then use your archers to whittle down their melee units or even ranged units from the flank

Put towers BEHIND the walls. It helps a lot keeping a wall intact. Also make several layers and double the wall thickness in places

For the siege engines I used the summon spell(early game I screwed up during one wave) I've so many crystals that I can afford that After that recovery was a long process (basically all my army was 7 man force 3 pikeman, 2 archers 2 healers. My supplies were running low, so I basically couldn't afford more farms. I had to go on raids using my 7 strong army. I had to really concentrate on those battles. Using hot and run) It mostly involved getting bigger army and siege engines of my own I used siege weapons to aggro enemies then squash them using my crossbow man

Drae's playthrough inspired me to buy the game and try it. I have double walls and permanently fixed trebuchets and crossbowment all along the border of my kingdom which accounts for easily 70% of the map. Super fun. Im at the point I have depleted all the stone and iron SO i have to trade wood and food for the stone iron and coin now. My biggest gripe is the size of the cargo hold of the trader ship. Too small, you are constantly sending it out

Wouldn't it be best to move the wall with a lake cutting it in half further out so you only need one gate? Also putting a thicc tower on either side would be good for defense. As for the closest wall at 0:10, A diagonal seems like a better option.

for me if you have problem expanding outer wall just build a small outpost a small base made out of 4 x4 wall the enemy will focus on infantry first so dont need to worry about buildings outside as long as the outpost is the most front i use this tacticst directly at enemy spawn making the town safe wothout any worry

Day 80 something I have 73 gems, i have completed the research tree, my town is completely walled off with all level three, I have 2 trebuchet with 6 crossbowmen at each gate, my army is 6 trebuchet/3catapults/52crossbowmen/10healers/40spearmen/about 15 hammerguys, they attack me from seven different points…………. My pc crashed… They are so many, I am flabbergasted. Also Drae you can change the formation of your army with the E key so you should maybe do two lanes of spearmen one behind another😉👍
