Sounds perfect for me! So ive played stardew for a good while now but have yet to make it past the first summer. Due to various things making me reset the game. I won't go into detail. But let's just say mods and generally messing things up. I wanted to get through the base game before touching huge expansion mods such as this and SVE. But I just can't stand the wait anymore. i LOOOOOVE ridgeside village!!! i downloaded both SVE and ridgeside at the same time on my first playthrough of stardew and it's been sm fun!!! overwhelming at time, but very fun! i love having so many characters to choose from! the only thing is remembering to go there every few days because if you don't you can definitely rack up a lot of cut scenes to shift through as soon as you hit the grounds lol but they are really nice regardless! my fav characters are yumma, shiro, trinnie, keehi, lenny, & pika!

@@thomasgovens5622 yeah it does, SVE characters even show up to ridgeside bazaar. And while you're at it add east scarpe too and then add Always Raining in the Valley, the NPCs of ARV show up in RSV festivals too.

Can second DC portrait, there's like portraits for basically like every custom npc in that style. I like some of the portraits, but I get the impression that since it's such a large mod, some of the art is a bit dated.

I personally think that the most recent art of Ridgeside blends vanilla quite well than most mods. Most portrait reworks, although some are good yet don’t fit the characters that they’re portraying.

I'm a bit late to the party, but you might want to consider East Scarp, plus some of the optional NPCs. There are extra storylines, but not as complex as those in RSV.

Been using the RSV for a while, not fully explored it (have a bad habit of restarting), Lorenzo is a great one to get to know to learn about your grandma. He does give something you should sleep with to get a special cutscene (the other use for that item ill let people figure out). I have a habit of marring Alissa but that could change when they add Blair into the mix lol, Flors a nice one to marry as well.

I use my Switch for Stardew too, but I also have the PC version. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get mods to work. My SMAPI is so uncooperative. It was too frustrating and I gave up 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m working on a play through with 76 mods, SVE, Ridgeside, and all of the PPJA mods with crops. Oh and More Fish. I’ve played 30 hours and basically still done absolutely nothing in comparison to the content I’ve added. It’s a lot, but SO fun!! I’ll never run out of new things.

I played this when I was in year 4 too, It's honestly so weird to play this mod when you are like 4 years in your save file Because as soon as you enter the village you'd get bombarded with a cutscenes that is supposed to be emotional but then at this point I don't even know the chars yet but they for some reason know you lmao Regardless, good mod though!

I use more expansions and its just a lot of fun, modding becomes a habit after a while lmao. not going for perfection though, just variety. East Scarp, RVE, Mineral Town, Durins Rest, Stoffton, Fostoria are a lot of fun and of course the Deep Woods for more dungeon action and Boarding House for extra animals :D

with the increased focus on mod support as part of the 1.6 update i do hope maybe he can collaborate with these big mods and integrate something for all yall console and mobile players someday! its unlikely, but if i’ve learned anything not impossible! Rain World’s two major DLCs are both inspired and include some pretty amazing content created as mods for their game (ofc paying the mod-makers for rights to use it) so indie devs that pay attention to their modders sometimes wanna add the most popular content that fits the game canon and style!

I think this video could have benefited from being a little bit tighter with some planning and scripting, but in general it was a really nice introduction to the mod! It looks a little too much for me at the moment, though. Perhaps I will give it a try after finishing a playthrough of SV Expanded first.

I think your mistaken in the vid for saying special orders board was a 1.4 update. I'm pretty sure it's a 1.5 update. Because it's not available in Mobile which doesn't have the 1.5 update yet.

If you couldn’t add mods to an already started game ied probably be restarting the game every few days as I find another thing the game is missing, like really you can’t make apple cider? Or butter? I mean in the UK at least if their is a small village community there will be an apple orchard and a local cider maker (I think they come as standard when you start the village, you get the local pub that’s the centre of the village, a farm, a post office, that one guy that’s secretly a poacher that everyone in the village knows is secretly a poacher and a brewer, they may do beer but cider and stuff like potato wine/vodka are easier to make).
