I work at Baker's (for those that don't live in SoCal it's a fast food place), and one day it was just me, one other employee, and the GM on shift. We got super busy mid afternoon for whatever reason, to the point where we had to close the inside, and everyone was scrambling to get orders out. Someone had to wait like 20 min. to get their food in the drive thru due to how backed up we were. But that person in the drive thru saw how much we were struggling and ended up tipping $3, which was a massive encouragement.

I had some conflicting thoughts about tipping as where I am from, tipping is not normal. We are not expected to tip and I rarely see people tip the waiters. I was like people are paid by the place for serving and you don’t need to pay them extra. This video told me that you don’t tip people to pay them but you do so because you are happy with their service and just having a good day and want to make the waiter happy as well and appreciate their hard work.

Being in the food industry at one point in time I can understand the importance of tipping so I do it. As a chef, I rarely ever saw a tip myself but had many friends who served. Largest tip I ever got was back when i was just a measly line cook at a country club making $9 a hour, member came in and asked who made their special and gave me $40. Yeah you better believe that made my night! Working live pasta stations once a week out of 100+ rich members maybe 1 or 2 would throw me a couple dollars.....one member who was a brewer used to bring me beer though as a tip and that was pretty cool.

I always tip at my local McDonald's, friendly service, good quality. I don't understand why people think you shouldn't Tip Fastfood workers. A few Weeks ago I was low on Cash and I always order my food + a White Chocolate, this day I didn't order the chocolate and got asked "why no White Chocolats" after saying that I need to save a bit the manager paid for my white chocolate. The moral of the story: Just be nice and Tip and you will have above Average service.

I used to work at a pizza place until it closed recently and tipping was so weird. The orders of $100-200 rarely tipped anything, but multiple orders for around $15-20 would tip like $10 each (we never saw card tips, but still crazy). Anyways love the tiktoks man.
