Each globe is made bespoke to order. The Churchill is 127cm (50 inch) diameter and a series of 40 total that will ever be made. Each is unique in colour, design and base.
This globe has cartography in both Chinese and English.

These look like a toy when compared to Johnston globes. The globes are big, but where is the dedication to cartography? It is the same map that you paste on all your globes. Computers have killed printed maps.

Our cartography is extremely detailed and not simply computer generated. We spend a lot of time on our cartography but that is fine if it is not your taste. Johnston globes do have some beautiful cartography and with each globe we make bespoke to order a client can request anything you can imagine. We do designs and styles of all sorts. We have three full time cartographers working in our studio along with very talented illustrators and painters and makers and we work with each client to design their globe exactly as they want it.

@@Globemakers my judgment may sound like unnecessary elitism, but then again, due to their pricing, Bellerby globe are the pinnacle of unnecessary elitism. I agree that Bellerby globes are quite a step-up from the mass-produced Chinese globes we get, and the 12 inch Bellerby at David Rumsey's is comparable to a vintage 12 inch Rand McNelly globe. But back when those vintage globes were new, they were run-of-the-mill affordable items. A Bellerby is not. I see cartography as a functional art form... like architecture. The planning stage is where a cartographer shines. Hand-painting every single map doesn't add to the cartography itself, does it? Sure, some will appreciate the effort. But there are others.
