According to my uncle, who was a professor, agriculture and agronomy the Soviet infrastructure and distribution were so poorly planned that despite their massive harvest, most of their grain rotted on the ground. Not enough trucks and very poor roads they couldn't get their product to rail heads. He visited back in the 70's.

The price of wheat has little to do with the price of bread. It costs more to package and store the loaf of bread than for the wheat.

In india we bring whole year , 6 months or 3 months wheat.... We grind it in home wheat grinding machine or from outside... 10 to 20 kg each time.... And use it for roti( indian bread)... Many people buy readymade flor which is unhealthy.... Because companies seperate fibers from it ( because fiber is costly they can sell to health food product companies ) thats why without fiber flor is not good

It's amazing what a punch France packs when it comes to food production. It is only a fraction of😮 the size of the US yet only finished 8 million tons behind them at the end. France is a major food exporter and is responsible for most of the global supply of wine.

The US actually pays its farmers to take land out of production. Also, wheat is not the main crop over much of the farming belt. Corn and soybeans are more profitable cash crops.
