My daughter figured out the ending back in season 3 for the reasons you just said. Tory will 100% inherit Cobra Kai in the show finale. The signs were there all along. Nearly identical childhoods right down to the "sick" mothers. Kreese going out of his way to protect her, even getting Amanda in her corner. Tory's constant loyalty and defending Kreese to other students who question his methods. My kid said then it was clearly setting up Kreese adopting her after her mom died. Once that slime ball aunt pointed out Tory would lose custody of her little bro, I realized she was right. Kreese is redeemed by keeping them together, and he gets the heir hes mentioned multiple tines. Daniel is stepping back and Johnny gonna have his hands full with the new baby. Guess who'll soon be running Miyagi Do??? Lastly, fan favorite Hawk is suddenly NOT going to college 3000 miles away. Writers are setting up the perfect scenario for a spinoff.

Some people need some way of taking out their anger, frustration, and pain…..Tory’s mother always encouraged her to fight, so of course she’d want to fight. If she had lost, she would’ve accepted it and maybe gotten some out of her system…. Also the sekai tekai is brutal, and Daniel has shown his own bias about the team. Johnny was right, he was the one person that actually got what Tory was going thru...she was working thru her feelings and her grief with the fight. If she lost, she would just have to accept it...but if she won, she would have been fighting for her mother, to prove that she was the fighter her mom said that she was. Daniel is always so stuck on the Miyagi way that he never thinks there could be another way, and this always leads to trouble that he can't accept that his way is just as wrong as the other side he goes against. Tory went to Kreese in the end because everybody stood in her way except for Johnny, but Johnny had no power to help her...and Kreese has always had Tory's back, he's looked out for her and got her through really tough times. Tory views Kreese like a father to her, while Kreese feels like Tory is a daughter to him...they have a special bond. As evil as Kreese is, he wants what is best for Tory and views the champion in her. He wants to bring it out of her and to not let her succumb to life piling up on her.

@@geraldjames7719 The match should have been stopped as it was, but then once they all knew what had happened and Tory had had that moment of release...it should have been up to Tory to continue then. She was dangerous when nobody knew what was going on, but no longer as dangerous once everybody knew. Tory doesn't want to hurt Sam anymore, and she wouldn't have wanted to hurt Sam during this match...she would have fought aggressively but it would have been controlled aggression. On top of this, Sam would have been in a position now to allow Tory to release her pain while being on guard to the aggressive nature. By not continuing the fight after everyone knew that Tory's mom had passed and nobody listening to Tory, they might as well as have shoved her into the waiting arms of Kreese.

It was also just an unfair situation for Sam. The most likely scenarios were Tori takes all out all her anger on Sam and goes too far, Sam lets Tori win out of pity, or Sam goes all out and beats Tori which would result in her running off to Cobra Kai anyways while Sam feels guilty about beating her friend when she was at her lowest point.

I don’t think you let Tory fight. She’s fighting out of anger and grief. That’s how someone gets really hurt and Sam was gonna get hurt. Tory grieving through fighting in a training situation. Like a punching bag. That’s fine. Thats safe. But against another person is how you end up really hurting someone who has nothing to do with the pain you are letting out. We already saw Tory take an extra shot at Sam with the kick. Kreese 100% adopts Tory and her brother in the final episode to keep them together. He gets the heir he's mentioned wanting, and Tory FINALLY gets to be a normal teenager, even go to college. This wasn't happening without somebody stepping in. The clues have been there since season 3, when my daughter (14) predicted it. And with Daniel stepping back and Johnny busy with a youngster and full time job, that leaves Sam in line to run Miyagi Do. And don't forget fan favorite Hawk has suddenly done a 180 on going to college 3000 miles away. Writers been planning this spinoff for a long time lol.

After this episode, I am now thinking this story ends with Johnny retaking Cobra Kai at the end. I actually think Stingray was spitting facts with his speech in episode 1. Johnny in Miyagi-Do doesn't make sense for him. I think his decision was more to spite Kreese. Johnny, as of now, is better prepared to handle changing Cobra Kai for the better.

Daniel needs to remember what being partners is supposed to be like. Since episode one of this season, it's been clear he doesn't actually think of Johnny as an equal as a sensei, asking him to run lessons by him first for approval while changing lesson plans himself, intentionally keeping Johnny away. He's still too stuck on "Miyagi-Do is the one and only way."

Johnny changes start at the end of season 1, he was cobra kai, after learning miyagi do in season 5 the silver's speech about what truly means being a cobra kai parallels with Johnny getting his ass kicked and then doing whatever it takes to win! Like miyagi do made him a more complete fighter with a powerful defense that helps him when he's facing someone as aggressive as he is and sometimes even more aggressive that he is, but even with all the life lessons he was already changing waaaaay before miyagi do get to his life, and what is more funny about all this storytelling of cobra kai, is that chozen is more close to miyagi when it comes about techniques than Daniel is, and when it comes to be a real good sensei and helping his students personal growth Johnny isnmore close to miyagi than Daniel, and botth were rivals at miyagi' philosophy that Daniel lived HIS WHOLE LIFE learning, because we know that Sam while she was a kid she trained under miyagi's guidance. ( Chozen trained miyagi do but under Sato's philosophy, thats why he ended up like he did in movie 2)

I have a really bad feeling someone from Miyagi is going to die in this tourney or get very seriously injured. I go back to when Barnes said people have died in this tournament. And there is still 10 episodes remaining, So obviously Miyagi Do is not winning this tourney. Plus they don't even have their best 6 fighters. They have their best 4. I think Tory leaves Kreese for good when she sees her friends getting destroyed and my prediction is it will be Robbie that gets seriously injured by Kwon. And Miguel gets revenge by beating Kwon in the series finale.

Robby's Character Arc Was Never About Winning A Tournament It Was Always About Finding Balance In His Life. From Season 1 Robby's Biggest Challenge Was Finding Balance And Defeating Miguel, In Season 6 Part 1 Robby's Character Arc Is Completed He Finds Proper Balance And Defeats Miguel. While In The Case Of Miguel His Character Arc Is Not Complete Because He Needs To Get Closure, Miguel After Season 2 Is Always Doubting Himself , Although Technically Miguel Has Lost To Only 2 People Till Now Thats Hawk & Robby But The Thing Is Miguel Needs To Win The Sekai Tekai To Get Closure Of His Karate Life, Not Only That Miguel Winning Will Complete Both His And The Shows Arc Because It Started With Miguel Winning That's Why It Should End With Miguel Winning Again For The Show To Come Full Circle. I Think The Show Will Gaslight Till The End Episodes Of Season 6 That Robby Will Win The Tournament But With Some Twists And Turns Miguel Will Be The One Winning The Sekai Tekai.

We got 2 "QUIET!"s this episode and they will never not make you sit up and pay attention. Let me say this Peyton List/Tory Nichols killed it this episode. I have a very high standard for this type of scene. SPOILERS for Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series) (Mom Death). Sarah Michelle Gellar/Buffy Summers is the pinnacle. If SMG is a 10/10, then Peyton is an 8.5/10. However, I can only give the SCENE a 7/10. The reason being is that we never really had any kind of connection to the mom. Before this episode we only had one scene with her in bed. We knew she was sick, and Tory was taking care of both her mom and her little brother (Who we also haven't really seen since). She has that druggie Aunt (Also ONE scene) but beyond that...we really only care about Tory. To be fair to the writers, the show really didn't have any significant need to explore Tory's home life all that deeply. We pretty much just focus on Danny and Johnny for that. However, if we had grown attached to Tory's mom before this (no time to actually do it) then this scene would have been an 8.5-9/10.

I'm on Daniel's side, but I also like him way more than I do Johnny. Although, I do like Johnny and think Danny needs to chill at times. I am on the side of stopping the fight. I've seen the arguments from others on continuing to fight. My thing is that Sam would have to be willing to fight, which I doubt she would in this moment. I did see one person say that Sam should have conceded to Tori lol. I don't agree with that either. So far, the only really good point I've seen to continuing to fight, is if one of the sensei's agrees to fight her to get the anger out instead of Sam. While, that wouldn't have solved the captain problem, I think that was a valid thought I heard from someone else. I do wish someone went to Tori or in the moment say "hey I know what it's like to lose a parent". Like Johnny with his mom or Daniel with his dad.

So yes, throwing hands is probably pretty important, but there are other factors. Look at the last All-Valley with a skills competition. Can Kenny do that? Nah. I think the best of the best are Robbie, Miguel, Sam and Tori (gone), and slightly below that is Hawk. Then I think Devon, Kenny, and Demetri are all on the same tier, but Kenny might be the top of that tier. Remember the last All-Valley? Kenny sucked. You're going to tell me the Devon at that point or Demetri couldn't have beaten him? Like easily. Kenny is living off that Hawk moment.
