AOC went 5-5 as a rookie with the whole Mcdaniels debacle two different HC and OCs, Minshew went 6-6 as Veteran last year and 22-27 for his career. Let's see how Minshew does with the Chargers...

The only time he seen the post season was when He was a back up to Jalen hurts so Don’t over hype a guy that can barely complete 1/2 of his passes against 2-3rd string players who prob won’t even make a roster. That fact is Minshew is mid at best. Hes been on 4 teams in his 6th season… if he was a guy he wouldn’t be here, if he did so good for the colts why did they let him walk and take a 37+ yr old Flacco ? Minshew is only 28. Dude isn't past his prime. This is one of the better teams he's been with so far in his career as a starter. 25 mill isn't backup money. I like AOC as well but let's give the man a shot. With what he's done with less talent, he should be alright. At the very least with a gunslinger QB it should exciting.

AOC is a backup level QB at best. AOC had his chance and hasn't shown any progress. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here. Minshew is just better and has been tested for a few yrs. I m happy with the decision of Minshew over AOC 100%.

The Raiders benched Garopolo after he got injured because he sucked and they didn't want to pay him the rest of his contract if he got injured again. There was really no competition there. You're right, this is the second season for AOC, and he hasn't shown anything better than what we've already seen. We know what he's got. Unfortunately, It's not franchise QB quality

Minshew has big play ability. He does mess up though. Aiden is doesnt make the big play and still messes up. That pick six was brutal to watch. Then to a 3rd string LB in our house. That cant happen. I also saw his reaction. He should of apologized to Raider Nation for that shit play. Aiden has no balls if he wanted the job he should of took it. Looks like he is just happy playing in the NFL. No emotions from him. We need somone with a killer instinct that takes charge. Not sure Minshew is it but we know Aiden is not for sure.

In so many words, AP implied that it was Aidan's job to lose, the tie goes to him, and Minshew would need to take the job. It didn't exactly go down that way. Even the Raider insiders are scratching their heads and saying that they felt that Aidan was the better QB. I have to agree with some people's suspicions that this has everything to do with an unsettled O-line that is going to need a QB who can run for his life if necessary. Having said that, the knock on GM is that he runs from the pocket too soon, and besides running for exactly 1 first down in the preseason, Minshew really didn't do much when he got out of the pocket. But all we have seen is OTA's, camp and 2 preseason games with our own eyes, and what's going to happen in the real season is anyone's guess.

I’m extremely wondering if we really have a true number one I like AC I also like Minshew I’m just not sure they are championship caliber quarterbacks. I would’ve rather went with the bigger quarterback I believe he has a bigger arm, but he has less experience, but he cannot gain experience, unless he plays. Gardeners a hell of a man is gardener. He’s a true pro and he will give you everything he has but he kind of reminds me of a type of guy like Pat Hayden back in the day got great heart, but I don’t know that he can get you past the finish line Defense still needs help upfront I like number 18 he’s a stud I think we would be lucky to go 500 ball this year.
