That's because one of the animators (Shane Newville) worked very closely with Monty Oum on RWBY when he was still around. There was a whole political beef/ fallout with a number of the old time animators who were still around before Rooster Teeth decided to sellout and go woke. All the shady dealings going on behind the scenes at the time was actually published to the public many many years ago and it went really in depth. This included the fact that alot of Monty's original script for the show were being rewritten after his passing. If you want another example of badass choreography, search Shane Newville MegaMan. Really makes me miss the old days of what RWBY could have been. Edit: For those of you who are really interested with what went down, search for 'an open letter to rooster teeth' by Shane Newville. This was mostly written from his pov so take things with a pinch of salt. Mind you this was coming from around the time of Monty's death and his divorce.

And there are many iconic cutscenes in genshin with xiao, albedo, nahida, furina, neuvillette and many more.

Just look at the 4.3 film festival cutscene with Chevreuse, Yoimiya and Morrison and you'll see the same kind of quality, with the voice acting being even better than in this, but yeah most of the actual Genshin cutscenes haven't been bad.

Think about it. they could have devoted a lot of resources a long time ago to basically create a constant stream of character skins, ones that could literally be taken right from these animations, and charge 10-20USD a piece for them and that would allow them to go a little more merciful with the gatcha elements/remove them all together and the game would have an even bigger audience and the whales would instead just pay the big bucks to dress up their waifus/husbandos

@@flyerton99 i guess it depends on how you look at it. do you want to reap an easy 500 bucks off of less than 3% of your fanbase by doing the bare mimimum or do you want to make an easy 20-60 bucks off a good 60% of your fanbase by having artists work on cosmetics. I know WHY they are sticking to their current model but it's a model that will bite them in the ass eventually. Treating your customer base with respect creates a loyal fanbase.

Great touch in game lore detail You put Fontaine under a giant dome, making it an underwater city, beneath an ocean ruled by the devouring narwhal. Which is a great reference to Fontaine's prophecy lore of being completely submerged underwater

Absolutely incredible. I know next to nothing about "Genshin Impact", so this was an introduction of sorts, but it feels as though I already know these characters due to how expressive they are. Pretty much everything you want to know about them can be summed up in just a couple of scenes, and that's so, SO difficult to do. It's well-written, but I honestly can't tell where the writing and animating ends (meaning the "little" things that animators add to make their work feel more alive). I love this, and I think a little bit of binge watching is in order. Dillon, Shane, if you're reading this, I've been a fan of your work since RWBY, and hearing and seeing how big of an impact you both had on the show, I just want to say "Thank you", as I'm the writer I am today because of you and Monty Oum. I wish you both and the rest of your collaborators nothing but the absolute best, and I have no doubt you'll accomplish just that. God bless, and have a wonderful day.

Its really good lol, I love how theyve kept details from the game (like the overload reaction with fire and electricity, and the flower blooming a bit after neuvilette applies hydro to it with his ultimate)

I've been following Dillon Goo for quite a long time now ever since the early RWBY days, and I love every animation he has made thus far. And this? Is no exception. Everything about this is genuinely amazing, the way it carefully and perfectly captures the personalities of each character shown with Navia's determined spirit and love for her father's legacy, Xiangling's ability to break the mold and create more opportunities, to Iudex Neuvillete's stern, yet kind hearted personality. All of which were perfectly conveyed through the actions, dialogues and expressions of the characters. The attention to detail with the elemental reactions (electro + pyro = Overload), the Romaritime flowers blooming with Hydro, the Gardemeks, the Rainfall for when Neuv ate the cake, and everything else about this is genuinely amazing. Ofcourse, Knowing dillon goo, no one can forget the action choreography, and how it doesn't focus on overly portrayed special effects, but rather "Expression through movement", the action choreography and how each character moved, such as how Navia moved with strength yet grace (much like how her combat animations look), while Xiangling moved with more acrobatic displays with flips and kicks (much like how she moves in the game, especially the way she enters the team in the team select screen), aswell as how the Gardemeks moved similarly to how they moved in the game, stiff and robust. I can't help but smile when I watched this. Great stuff!

As a blender user myself, I am amazed how you guys doing all of these stuff in a program, I could just wish or dream to do all these too! The story was great, the musics were in harmony with the scene and the fighting choreography was simply spot on. All the people who worked on this project should be proud, you all did a high quality animation. Keep up the great work!

Man this makes me wonder what the other nations look like in this futuristic Teyvat! I really hope we see more of these two, and of course the Proginetor series. W My biggest hope is maybe Furina is working with Yunjin, GaMing and such in Liyue to bring back the traditional arts of performance! This could allow both a beautiful performance AND a crazy fight scene utilizing Chinese traditional opera props and so on! Makes me wish I could animate or make/join a group to make ideas come to life T_T But to comment about this animation!? Dawg the story telling and action is just so good!! Giving them a reason for fighting than simply fighting. The comedic quips and gags are so good too! The baguettes from stale to all of sudden they’re actually fresh! Using the robot’s arm to continue cooking and slamming it a few times when it came up but continue cooking. I swear animators and directors of your caliber is such a rare breed these days! Don’t get me started on thay Oner sequence. Godddd please make a longer one! Hahaha

@@Rebecca-nw2ce my biggest guess for this timeline and universe. Spina being a bakery, Navia’s father, Melus and Silver, maybe even her mother first created the spiced macaron cake recipe. Thus Neuvilette was taken aback by it having met her father before. That or the dish itself very much reminded him of Navia’s father. Either way works! Considering they’re the last human-run bakery, Neuvilette would definitely has the Spina in his heart
