I played this on the PS4, and the stutter does happen at each puzzle start. Otherwise, it fantastic and I'm playing in the puzzle-free mode, now that I finished it once.

Ah, that explains it. It's still funny how the game gets praised for it's performance right before a brief frame drip.

The stutter is also present on Apple arcade (ipad pro here) so its a matter of the engine

I think $15 indie games are a real Switch sweet spot. Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Katana Zero, Golf Story, etc.

I completed this in 7 hours 45 minutes and it was worth the price for me. The game's story when finished is incredibly deep and dark. I wouldn't spoil it but man it was not what I thought it would be.

I finished this in around 7h and it was a pleasure to play. i don't usually play puzzle games but this was really amazing. challenging but not too hard, a sweet spot for people of all ages. and the visuals!! such an amazing artstyle that feels really at home on switch.

I got this game and windbound at the same time. I got frustrated with the wind bound because I have to start over every time I die. Therefore I started playing this game and haven't stopped yet. It's nice and relaxing. Not too difficult and the story keeps me playing. I really like this game a lot

It’s on Apple Game Pass too, that’s where I have been playing it. It has adaptive controls, you just have to tap where you want him to walk too and double tap the location to sprint. It’s a good control scheme. Haven’t seen any stutter either on my iPhone, but I am running it on an 11Pro Max. So I should hope there is not any issues.

I feel like the way companies put out game trailers is broken because of this. They usuallt release a trailer way too early then not say enough afterwards. I mean, Cyberpunk 2077 had a trailer release over 7 years ago.

For a 15 dollars game, The Last Campfire is a really great game to add to your collection. Its a charming story thats told through simplistic dialog. The game is a puzzle game, which are incredible, somewhat simplistic at a glance but clever in design. The game takes about 7 to 10 hours to get everything, on the Switch version just like OP says, the game stutters when transitioning from world to the puzzles. But I think thats better than seeing a black screen with "now loading" words in them, stutter also only takes 2 to 5 seconds, nothing that will destroy your immersion. Anyways, I fully recommend this game if you want a charming, relaxing experience that will from time to time, challenge your puzzle solving skills or if you want a change of pace.

The only big issue I have with this game is that Racheal August was not at the very top of the credits in bold... She was like a quarter of the way down with 2 guys that must have worked on the creature sounds... I'm obviously joking but I do think she should have been up there at the top credited as the narrator IMO she was the soul of this game and arguably my favorite aspect of the game; such a lovely voice perfect for this story

I had 2 crashes to OS and quite a few periods of the frame rate tanking. Switch Lite play. This was in the first 30 minutes. I'll wait for a patch but I'm defo going to finish it. Touch controls were awesome to see

Bought this for about 3 euro/dollars just the other day. Didn't have time to check it out enough before I bought it so I'm happy to hear it's a really nice game. But refund it? Can you even do that? It seems impossible, at least in Europe? Already tried it before and Nintendo just said "screw you" (but in nicer words). If it's possible, please enlighten me. Lastly, I missed your grades this time. Even if it's a mini review, please include grades for the games. The broken-up and detailed grades are one of the best things about your channel.

Finished it yesterday. Took me 8h 35min. enjoyed every moment. I miss my blue doggy like boat already lol. Edit: the only thing that can be bothering is a drop frame that always happen immediately when the cutscene start to play when you are about to enter a puzzle.
