So many questions come to mind. But first, best wishes for this brave move. Only a foreigner would do something like this. I wonder how shocked your old work colleagues were. I presume you finished your job before your trip to Germany. Now to some questions which you may choose to answer in upcoming videos. How did your families (Japan & Germany) react to this? Will you be able to maintain about the same income? Did you already have a relationship with your first client in Germany? What's the potential for more clients in Germany? Will you need to adjust your work day to match business hours in Germany? Is there any prospect of Japanese clients? Will you need to travel to Germany more frequently? If things don't work out, will you be viewed as 'unreliable', or worse, if you apply for jobs in Japan again?

So many questions indeed John, thanks a lot! I'll try to address them in the upcoming videos 😅

I have a question how can I settle in a new country without studying there and doing my course degree say medical or engineering from my own country, I am an Indian and I wanna settle foreign but I am in 30s so any other way than studying in the university of that country. And love your videos keep it up :-)

For Japan, the general requirement that will make getting a visa much easier, is to have a university. Doesn't matter where you got it from.

The question I have is the speed and availability of fiber optic internet in Japan. I know it exists over there, but how prevalent is it? Can you get it out in the suburbs or are you limited to the big cities and certain areas?
@JapaneseJourney2 жыл бұрын
Good question! I had fibre already back in 2016 in Nagano city, and we paid about $56 back then. Realistic speed was about 500 Mb/S up and down. Totally acceptable and way better than many other countries (e.g. Germany 😑) IMHO.

Great fresh new look. Like that saying: New beginings are desguised as painful endings... By the way I want to ask you somehing: -- Is it possible for a self taught Software Developer to work in Japan? I am from UK, and do not have a Colege / University degree.

There are options, such as sufficient work experience. Generally for younger people, a university degree makes things a lot easier.

That is a bit shocking and exciting at the same time... I always wondered how a foreigner could start a business in Japan from zero. I want to learn and know the details, such as how permanent residents would have the autonomy to start a business without depending/relying on Japanese citizen individuals. I wonder if you will establish a branch of a German company in Japan, if thats the case it sounds like a lot of work, expectations, but also great rewards... I wish I had experience and qualification in I.T., best of luck to you!
