I really hope that at least one class 319 vehicle is preserved. They are a major part of London's history being the backbone of thameslink for quite some time

As a fellow fan of the Class 319' EMU's myself. I hope one gets preserved. Even if as a Class 769 as this would allow diesel mode. Maybe LSL Trains could buy 769008 or 769009 as those were the two that worked through the channel tunnel in November 1993. Ex-319008 Cheriton and ex-319009 Coquelles. My French isn't so good.

For everyone saying they are still in service, they are but will be gone as soon as the 331/1s will be transferred to Allerton.

As a workhorse and test bed for many upcoming technology, it is very sad to see them go. I'll miss them screaming up and down the WCML

damn, I was kinda hoping to try and travel on a northern 319 at some point as I believe those are the last ones in service and I haven't travelled on a 319 for many years so it's sad to hear that the 319s will be basically completely gone :(

Yes, they've transferred class 323s from the west Midlands! The North East gets a few of the north west's 331/0s aswell
