I had just moved with my family to another state. All our furniture hadn't been delivered yet. Outside the development there was a movie theater and they were playing Dirty Dancing. I decided to walk down to the theater because my husband had the one car for work. So I watched the film on a big screen and loved it. ❤ That's really the only way to appreciate a great film. Not on a television but in a nice big theater with other people all around you.

Hate is a strong word. They reportedly did not get along during the making of RED DAWN, but by the time they made DIRTY DANCING three years later, they had patched things up. At any rate, there was no tension on the set of DD. Both were professionals and courteous with each other and enjoyed working together, which can be seen in the behind-the-scenes footage. At worst, Patrick, a perfectionist, would get annoyed if Jennifer goofed off too much, which is evident in the "Hungry Eyes" segment. The director liked it and decided to keep it in, because it also displayed Johnny's frustration with Baby.

I honestly don't think so! Indeed, they matched perfectly on screen in this sort of "cool boy vs. innocent girl-combination", but in real life I'd consider them to be too conflicting. I don't wanna destroy you're romantic idea, though its said that behind the scenes Swayze must have been terribly hacked off with Jennifer's "spoilt upperclass girl behavior" since the first time they'd worked together on Red Dawn. And most importantly, Patrick and his wife Lisa had the greatest love story until the end. He must have fallen for her the first time they were dancing together and many times again when they danced later! It wasn't always the easy kinda marriage with all his drinking and stuff, but in the end Patrick Swayze must have been a remarkably thankfull and faithful husband. So however, I'm sorry, I don't see that and why Johnny and Baby would have worked well in real life!
