Got to mtb riding because of you and a couple of other friends and youtubers. Haven't been riding bikes at all for almost 20 years.. stopped when I was 18 and got a drivers license :D Bought a hardtail for 1k € and started a bunch of trail runs, only to find out that I am can actually shred pretty well.. Sold the hardtail and bought a nukeproof reactor frame and built up a bike. The guy had a little showroom that was closed due to covid crap and kept on selling the frames straight out of his van in front of his house :D Has been so much fun with a capable trail bike socializing with a group of friends on the long climbs.

I was a legit pot head and beer guy back in the day I but only did acid once. I can’t say that it was awful but I can say I had no desire to ever do it again. Craziest fuckn 10 hours I’ve ever endured. I was a 21 yr old college kid. Hallucinated for hours and hours that everything was a dancing face and the images repeated and repeated and repeated and was just too much for me and I couldn’t function. It was sensory overload. I was fetal position, eyes closed, for probably 5 hours. So like I said...Not horrible but not great.
@keirfarnum68113 жыл бұрын
@@ryzer349 Mushrooms are less intense and don’t last as long. They feel much more natural and unlike acid, don’t impair your ability to do physical activities. There’s a much happier sensation involved and people laugh much more. Acid is a much more intense experience. And I think OP isn’t talking about taking enough to experience hallucinations; just enough to slightly alter reality. The last time I used them was riding Spencer Loop in Anchorage when I was in my early 20s (decades ago) and we did take a higher dose and were still able to ride high speed, floating big jumps. Don’t let one previous experience that was bad with one thing make you assume another thing will be the same.

I got to ride this trail a few years ago. We went from Primrose to Seward and then rode the highway back to Primrose. It was an adventure for sure. We had a late start and that turned into a late night. It was dark shortly after we hit the highway and midnight by the time we got back to the truck. I think we got back to Anchorage about 2:30 am. The scenery was great though and I was exhausted! Glad I did it!
@kenbest764 жыл бұрын
I’ve always preferred either an out n back from Seward or Primrose to Seward. Going up Prim is more hike-a-bike but that decent to Seward is 👌. Either way, Lost Lake is a must-ride.

Hey man! I’m going to Alaska this Summer. I can’t bring a bike, I’ll be in Seward and Anchorage. Where do you suggest I go? Can only go one place, this one seems to be on the top of my list. Also, do you know any bike guides and rentals?
@nickkelley25024 жыл бұрын
@@calebdavenport1231 yeah man I got a bunch of suggestions and if you need more shoot me a message. To start out I don’t know any mountain bike guide services or rental places. Alyeska in girdwood (30 minutes outside of anchorage) has a bike park and rentals. Never ridden the bike park but heard good things. BKXC also had 2 other videos of riding outside of anchorage that are amazing. Since your going to be in Seward you gotta some of the “Alaska” things. I was a sea kayak and glacier guide there so I have to recommend doing that. Do an Aialik Glacier sea kayak tour and guarantee you won’t regret it. Go deep sea halibut fishing, visit exit glacier and Harding ice field trail, explore Kenai lake, go rafting on the 6 mile. There is a lifetime of exploring there

UAA graduate here. It’s a good school. Not much of the typical college party lifestyle since there are more older folks doing continuing ed. I enjoyed my years there and received a top notch education for anthropology. Depending on what field you go into, it can be a really good school. Look into moving and getting residency and taking loans from the state instead of using the more predatory federal loan system if you need loans. The Alaska loan system was pretty reasonable in my time and they are easier to deal with compared to other programs.
