I think IGN First is the best series that IGN can offer to its subscribers. We need more of these, it's sort of like a "Nintendo Direct" for specific games, and I think I speak for all of us when I say bravo to this concept!

Since you are playing in flashback ( according to IGN ) Trico is already dead when you start the game. What we don't know is how. I think it will be the player that has to take Trico out. He won't die trying to defeat a boss or while trying to help the boy across a bridge. Either the two of them will end up in a situation where they are trapped some place with no food & the boy has to kill Trico & eat him to survive. Or maybe Trico just becomes to powerful & unstable & you are forced to kill him. Whatever happens, you can be sure this game will be very emotional.

Ciaran Mulroy Yes, it is dark. Who knows though, maybe the game will have a happy ending. Fumito Ueda has said that a dark tone in a game is more memorable than a happy tone. So most likely we will have a sad tragic ending. But just like the other two games, if you stick around for all the credits, maybe things will turn out okay at the last minute. LOL

For those who don't understand the hype around 'The Last Guardian', I completely understand your position, and I was once one of you. But, if you want to understand the hype, then play 'Ico & Shadow of the Colossus' HD Collection, and you'll hopefully understand. However, personally, I don't think this game will be able to top 'Shadow of the Colossus' for me.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you're setting those kinds of expectations.. if you watch the video you might be able to decipher that the dev team had to work out some rough patches and was on and off the project for a long while before getting to the steady development they seem to be on now as they work towards a release by the end of the year.

+MannerlyGem Considering one of the best parts of Their previous games were the sort of chicanery between the art design and the graphics, a la colossus fur and agro AI, from what ueda said he still trying to get that in the game. this developer studio is essentially responsible, at least partially for the whole indie game dev movement about art, and new ideas. That wasnt determined by the length of dev time, but the skill of everyone, from artist to programmers who got the ai in the games to work correctly. what worried me is that it seems only the creative team from teamico is still there, but well see how studio japan can make a game, hoepfully more stable then bloodborne

I wish I could meet Ueda-san in real life and explain to him just how beautiful and integral to my life his games have become. He says they haven't been in full development since 2006, but I remember while living in Tokyo in 2007 seeing the first teaser images from what would become The Last Guardian (it looked like a giant chain link holding something to the ground), and feeling so excited. If I had known I would still be waiting almost a decade later, I would have cried then. But these experiences are always worth it, and I wish I could thank him in person.

This game will be similar to Ico, puzzles and environments to explore. If that's your cup of tea, this will be a masterpiece I imagine. If it isn't your preference to play such games, then maybe you don't have the patience for it, and that's ok, but you most likely won't see the value or fun in it.

i wonder what really happened while developing the game? his statements are very vague and i remember that Ueda wanted to leave Sony or even left them. I just hope that "all the struggle they went trough" (like he said) didnt hurt the game too much. I think shadow of the collossus is one of the best games and even best game concepts ever made. So it will be really hard for TLG to live up to this.

Nice videos, but you should change where you cut your subtitles sentences! They are really weird and annoying to read! Like the last two words of a sentence will constantly come after a long delay in the next batch of subtitles, it's just pretty bad. Please improve that.

You do realize that's because it was originally a PS3 game. Most of the games textures were already done, there's not really much else they can improve on that. Same goes for fallout. That game has PS3 graphics but hardly anyone complains about that

Absolutely. Both titles are in the top ten best ever made. No other games have elicited such raw emotion in players. (Ya, I cried when my horse died in Shadow ... and I was a 34 year-old man at the time. Been playing video games since Atari. No game - ever - did that to me. It gave me hope for the future of video games. And since then, Dark Souls, and the Souls series in general, has surpassed everything I have ever played).

Has it been 10 years since SoTC been released? Time has flown.... I remember completing it on my old brick of a PS2. Back in 2009 I remember watching the e3 trailer with my daughter, then 3, and she called Trico her 'cutie'. I have waited patiently for this title and I know it is in capable hands; it wont disappoint. Just want a date now so I can book the time off work to play it ^_^

To those who don't understand why so many people are excited for this game, saying it looks like a PS3 Tech Demo, or that it doesn't seem like there's much to it... I often ask if they have ever played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus. When they say no, I say: "Play it, and you'll understand".

Cant fuking wait for this game since ICO and Shadow of the colossus and the ending will be something that would make this game amazing I really hope in the fututre Fumito makes either a complete remake with extra colossi (originally around 72 then cut down to 24 and then again to 16) or make another shadow of the colossus with multiplayer added again what they tried to do with NICO or make more of these "extras" (concepts, beta picture or video, etc....)
