+mh seas, yes because they don't want to waste their time playing and reviewing trash games that no one cares about. That is not good for you or them. So when a game is trash tier they can the review. That said they do still manage to review many games every year that have low scores. Gamescoop does a piece about the lowest scoring games every year.

I just finished the game today, I've been waiting for this for years and i didn't watch or read reviews for it cause I wanted my own opinion. Personally I absolutely love it, yes there are flaws, (glitchy sometimes, mechanics feels somewhat clunky, bad frame rate drops and Trico will definitely do some stupid stuff here and there) but overall I feel the game overcomes these flaws massively. To see the bond slowly form throughout the whole game, and some of the (to me) best visuals I've seen, not best graphics, best visuals, the art design is AMAZING and some of the shots will stick with me. The thing with this studio, is even though there games aren't perfect, they are to me the most memorable experiences I've had in gaming. This with Shadow of the Colossus, to me are some of the best games ever made. Perfect no, amazing nonetheless, for sure.

It's time to put a stop to console wars. It's time to listen to other's opinions on games. It's time to come together and accept each other for sharing a common interest. But that does not mean we have to split ourselves apart just because a certain game isn't what it used to be, or because someone enjoys a game that is a competitor of your favorite game in a certain genre. So what, someone plays on a Playstation 4? They're still sharing an interest with you. Video games. So why can't we respect each other in this generation? PS4, Xbox One, even PC or handhelds. They're all good in their own ways. One may look better. Another may have franchises you know and love. The other may have features that you can use for more than just gaming. But really, is any one console better than the other? Is any game truly better than another? Maybe you just want to spread your love for a certain game or console. If so, then why do it in such a harsh manner? Be kind and tell someone the details. Don't tell them that your way is the only way to go. Try to acknowledge that they enjoy what they play for a reason, just as you enjoy what you play for your own reasons. Ease them into the things you like and you may change someone's opinion, but being rude isn't getting anyone anywhere and it's only tearing us apart.

Im near the end of this game and its a masterpiece, its so refreshing to play a game with zero demands. Zero lists of chores. Its a simple adventure with a dog(?), and it was done absolutely beautifully. If anyone is looking for something different than the standard, this is it, i cannot praise this game enough for creating something special and unique. Shadow of the colosus is probably one of my favorite games of all time, which is what brought me to this. And i am very satisfied. 9/10 forsure.

Our Lord Emperor Trump yes at 1080p. 4k, not so much. And the thing is to is that there isnt a mode in game to do that. You have to go all the way in the ps4 settings to do so. At this point, especially for a game in development for 9 years, consoles should not be dipping below 25 let alone all the way to 20. There are ways to better optimize the systems.

André Carneiro Especially since this same reviewer (Marty Silva) gave Assassin's Creed Unity a 7.8/10. A game so broken that Ubisoft offered free games as an apology gets a higher score this.. Over 9 critics on Metacritic have given it 10/10, which is 6 more perfect scores by critics than Uncharted 4 got. I respect reviewers opinions but sometimes they're just... way off.

The biggest sources are the problem. I don't trust in IGN / Gamespot and so on. There are other channels and sources more unbiased, without big interests involved, and the taste of the reviewer yelling higher than rational thinking. The easy allies channel, for example (I think I'm correct... easy allies...), is a good source of reviews, but for sure there are other good ones.

I dont get the dislikes here. I know that many of us, myself included, wanted The Last Guardian to be a masterpiece. However if the controls and camera are wonky and hamper the overall experience then it needs to be taken into account. Sure, a number grading system is questionable but this seemed to be a very honest review and I see absolutely no reason for all the backlash.

Isn't the whole point of the game for Trico to "not work" at times, and react realistically? I've played about 6-7 hours of this game, and honestly, Marty's issues sound more Iike user error than anything else. Also, the nature of rushing to finish a game for review also could have lead to this frustration. Disappointed, it's almost as if he's never played the prior team ico games and didn't have the correct expectations going in. He's entitled to his opinion and clearly laid out what he felt was negative, I just feel like this review was a bit off the mark, and have a feeling this game will be remembered very fondly in 5-10 years vs. a lot of the AAA cookie cutter games we have been getting this gen. The level design is fantastic and the concept so unique, that while not perfectly executed, the game stands out IMO.

Those "lowest lows" aren't going to bother me one bit. Taking the time to discover exactly what you need to do in order to get Trico to do what you need is part of the challenge of the game. As for the camera, it will only get in the way a few seconds now & then. No big deal. This game is a masterpiece but it's obvious most critics are going to be way too hard on it. If a game has major problems, they should be addressed. But from what I've seen so far from more than an hours worth of game play footage, I don't see any problems at all. And I'm sure I'll still feel the same way once I've completed the game.

Well, a friend texted me yesterday saying it's the best game he had ever played. And he sounded very happy and excited. He could be exaggerating, but he likes it. I don't have a PS4 so I can't express an opinion myself, but Metacritic says it has an 83/100 general score, so there's obviously lots of people who are loving it. IGN needs to stop giving number-scores; you can't quantify art. That said, 7 is a good score and very fair, but the whole reviewing-system is flawed; it does not account for subjective enjoyment, but rewards ticking-off-the-box game-design. Multiplayer included? Points awarded. Maps? How many? The more there are, the more you get. The more they ruminate on what specific score to give, the more pointless it is to give a score at all.
