Getting lost in Light up the night, but having 0 trouble with Garden of Forking Paths is a real big brain move lol. Good job getting through the Archive at the end of the level. The large number of big machines are hard to deal with. The secret levels are really worth doing i think. Most don't require much work to enter and each one does something interesting with genera. There are also 2 secret levels unlocked by getting p rank on all other levels (all S and no restarts) but if you don't want to do that yourself, I suggest watching someone else play through those. They are really cool but the work to get into them might not be what you want.

@@Tomycklet P ranks is something I also haven't done. The levels locked behind P ranks are called P-1 and P-2. A channel called Ayla Is Very Cool has a good no commentary first playthrough of P-1 level level if you want to watch it. A channel called RollStep has the same for P-2. I suggest trying watching some sort of playthrough of those levels if you aren't going to go for them yourself.

you’re not actually supposed to be able to go under the earthmover brain, the shield is supposed to stop you but it’s bugged right now. as for lore, in 7-4 there’s an earthmover in the distance and they’re both fighting each other but neither can hurt the other because they both have shields. it’s supposed to symbolise the pointlessness of the final war, which is an important event in ultrakill’s lore which you can read about by reading the enemy terminal entries (most of the info is in the gutterman, guttertank and earthmover entries).

@@Tomycklet it does go hard, there’s a lot of cool stuff going on that you can learn about by reading the different terminal entries and finding the books hidden in levels. There’s a book in 2-2 (can’t remember if you found this or not), 4-2 (can’t remember if you found this or not), 7-1 (you already found this one), 7-2 (you missed one) and 7-4 (it’s hidden near the security system fight).
