Honestly, I think I like the look of the mach 1 over the 03-04 cobra. I love the tall hood and standard front bumper with the lip.

Both look great imo I can't really say which looks better. The functional shakerhood is deffinatly a great touch for the mach1. My 2004 black mach1 was my first car at 18 and still is at 21. But the dumbest thing is they put black mach1 lettering over black paint so u cant really tell its a mach1 unless u see the rear. Ik the hood and front should be a dead givaway but ive seen so many gt's with the mach1 front end swap without seeing another actual mach1. Mach's are deffinatly rare with only about 7500 made from 2003 /2004 and over 20k+ svt cobras. And a total of over a million gt's. Thought of selling mine for a down payment on a 2018+ gt but I can't let I go man. Hopefully they eventually get the attention they deserve.

@@GolfInHawaii69 Don't sell it. Mach 1's are way cooler than any s550 or even the new s650. I don't see many sn95's that are nice anymore, let alone mach1's. The way I tell a mach 1 from a gt if I can't see the front is to look at the C pillar. Since it's more of a sharp angle rather than a curve for the quarter window. Only the mach 1 and bullets have that. Not sure if the values will go up much on machs soon, but I believe they will appreciate in the far future. Especially the very low milage examples.

@@barsaf9989 Mine is higher miles with 104k. I bought it at 89k 3 years ago. Paid 7,500, It needs a paint job since it's the original paint and a few chips and scratches. Also I can tell it needs some suspension tune ups but still very stiff and solid. Also it's an auto which is kinda of a downside but I got it for a bargain since original owner wanted 10k.

@@GolfInHawaii69 Good deal. Nothing wrong with the auto. The suspension on the sn95 is pretty simple to work on. Shocks are easy to replace. Fairly cheap too. If you are on the original tokico shocks, definitely replace them. Also, look into aftermarket rear lower control arms. Makes a huge difference. Don't go coilovers since the factory setup has the shock absorber and spring separate. Coilovers will put high stress on the body points where the shock mounts too, which wasn't it designed for. I've seen a few black mach1s at shows with white decals? I'm guess it wasn't factory, but they look nice.

I miss mine! I had the mineral graghite gray, i. Color, when bought it, it had 42,000 miles on her. RAOR!!! I loved the deap throaty sound, the handling.... I was SO FORTUNATE, TO OWN ONE. BOUGHT IN NORFOLK,VA, When we restationed to Pearl harbor, ... I was expecting.... So i traded her in 😢... But.... All in all... WOW!

I bought my Mach 1 (04) in 2006 in GA. It is white with mostly stock attributes. Its does have the x-pipe which makes those stainless steel stock mufflers giving the traditional mustang roar. I chose the Mach 1 over the other models as the functional shaker is what makes it a Mach 1 in my opinion. No shaker really bums me out. Mine is the 5 speed manual and has 19,000 miles. Since the 2021 will not have a shaker i suppose the 03 and 04 will go up in value.

Only way to get a NA, 32V 4.6 V8, with an automatic. Unless you step up to '03-'04 Mercury Marauder!! Wich is also cool!!

​@@1972mercurycougar Got my 04 auto mach1 for 7,500 with 89k miles. Not the cleanest looking mach1 but the engine is still very bulletproof and a nice roar. Deffinatly a letdown on the 4spd auto and the 5spd is much better. But I got mine for a great steal. I might buy a cleaner lower miles 5spd mach in the future but as mine still runs strong I'm good with what I got.

The new mach1 is just the name and a few of the gt350 components. U can get a gt350 10k cheaper and deffinatly a better car just don't go to hard on the 5.2 voodoo and keep up with your maintenance. I would prefer a 5.0 coyote for reliability but not pay mach1 price for just the mach1 badge.

Best mustang ever. Best looking, Best color, great driveline. Beat mine for 12 years then sold to Jersey from De. Worked on another comp. orange mach at my job. Ripped 3rd almost every time I drove mine. Live close to the shop so daily driving for 12yrs equalled 79k. Every one as if on the track. Beat a 130+ ticket once. Great car, but my inability to stay out of the gas prompted me to sell her. As a mechanic I need to have my license clean.

Comp orange is a killer color. I've never been a fan of yellow, but I found an 03 zinc yellow mach 1 in my area on accident. 7/14/20 she became my mistress. Best mustang I've owned yet

I just bought a 03 Mach 1, Torch Red with 65,000 miles. I’ve spent more time waxing and cleaning it than driving it!! I love the car and I don’t know if I could ever sell it

I have an oxford white Mach 1 with 16,000 miles on it. I was looking for a low mileage competition orange but couldn't find one close enough to my location and in my price range. Love this color. I the future i will be looking to buy a second mach 1 in either competition orange or screaming yellow.

I like the 87’-93’ Foxbody Stangs and then I’m not really a super fan of any Mustang until the 13’-14’ S197 and all S550’s. Not a fan of any Mustang i between those years save this car right here. In this comp Orange. This is a bad ass Stang for sure. The interior def is not great… but man it looks great in this color specifically! And it’s a strong car too

Another difference is the Cobra had the T56 and the Mach 1 had the TR3650 transmission and they did not come with Brembo brakes they had PBR brakes . Had to be that guy, sorry. 😁

@@truthhurts228 03-04 Mach 1s did not. In the recent years there have been people (including me) that have been swapping in Cadillac ATS brembos to new edges and there is also a $2k kit brembo brake kit for them. If you saw a 03-04 Mach 1 with actual Brembos, someone swapped them then.
