If I ever had enough money to buy a dirt bike , I would buy one from Kaplan . You get the best of the best and you are the best of the best .

The bike that Damon Bradshaw built. -Probably the most minty OEM 1990 YZ250 in existence anywhere. Sometimes you only get one chance at something.

What do you do with a bike like that except just worship it's pristine glory? That's an absolute gem of motocross history 1000%

You get it on the pipe, put the front wheel in the air and throw some roost.

My first MX bike was one of these, had the frame pink as well. Bought it used from John Deacon, in Plymouth, UK. Took it to the Falklands Islands. Was the first real mx bike in the islands. John was later killed in a bike crash while racing. He took part in the Dakar a few times as well. Great guy. Meanwhile I'm in my 50's and still riding over 30 years later.... Great channel guys, the best on ytube.

I had one of these in 2007. Was not quite as mint, but was an old works bike. So, it was still pretty cool.

I had the exact same bike. Bought it cheap, but in not-running and very rough shape. Stripped it and redid from ground up and it was an excellent bike. Thanks for putting these awesome videos out!

I had same year YZ 125... Bike ripped ... Honestly even the latest and greatest YZ 250's including the YZ 250X ( Had a 2020 ) simply rip and ride like your mind thinks... They just work... !!!

It seems like almost every single cool bike from my youth you guys have. I'd be out riding this all day long. As a kid I was always torn between the Honda CR's and Yamaha YZ's. I remember asking my Uncle which was faster and I still remember he told me the Yamahas are more torquey and faster off the line but the Hondas have a higher top speed just take slightly longer to get there. I dunno if that's still true today but they both look sick to me.

Love the style of the early 1990’s YZ’s!!! Hated the switch to white, like the European bikes were.

Love this, Had the WR Version in Blue/White back then they were called YZ/WR for the Wideratio version. Later dropping the yz for just wr. was alot less confusing for consumers, Loved this era the best for the looks of the bikes and color schemes.

LOL i had a 1992 WR250 [YZ] and dam that thing was old school vicious. Hit like it had someone chasing it. Wheelies in top gear everywhere with no clutch help needed. Dam i miss being young and crazy

@@robvanduren761 I hear ya i didnt have a 92 but like i said i had a 90 & 94. like you said couldnt keep front wheel on the ground in the woods, later installed a flywheel weight on the 94 and somewhat tamed the beast. The good days! in my fiftys now, and many health problems, I do get out a couple times a year with vets and run the old trusty yamaha 1988 yz 490. Not near as much as would like. Enjoyed trip down memory lane.

What i call the Honeycomb metal bikes , the Euros , imagine the Austrian that sat this long , a pile of corrosion proven already not even 5 years, they would be a disintegrated example of there lack of quality metals and components . Be 5mm thick of silicone spray to try and hold euro metal and plastics, rubber, anywhere close to that Japanese condition of time.
