If i remember, Kidomaru was actually Jounin level, he was basically the second strongest aside from Kimimaro, obviously. The only one who could have a shot against Kimimaro was Neji, if the gentle fist can destroy the Kekey Genkai chakra. Aside from him, yeah, the rest of the boys were screwed.

Chouji means Butterfly, hence all the symbolism there. Neji saw himself as a "caged bird" due to his fate being born in the branch clan, hence the symbolism there. idk if he knows this by now but Chou is butterfly, thus Chouji! His family has this as a theme, with his father being named Chouza! Actually most names in Naruto are a weird japanese pun. Neji is screw/whirl, which references his rotation ability, Kiba means fang (and members of his clan share names like nose/claws/etc), Shikamaru has Shika in it which is deer(His fathers name is Shikaku). Hell even Kakashi's name literally means Scarecrow and is a sorta pun because his clan is Hatake, which means farmland!

Hi Nich, actually isn't a spoiler so, the fact is that Sasuke developed some feelings in Sakura, isn't a LOVE at all, but the manga has more details like their protecting themselves a lot and holding hands in various moments. The fact is that Sasuke didn't forgeted Itachi and he has no time to "love" and things like that, even when he says her when he leaves that she's annoying is just a try to make her forget him, for her sake. That's why later he says thanks and knock her. He even heared all that sakura said about their time together. I mean, i think Sakura feel a childish love at the start, but being in the same team make her more linked to him ACTUALLY. But they are still 12 years old kids so... the "love" stills being just affect.
