Well put together. Love this music. One of the handful of games i just loaded from time to time to listen to the music rather than play... The first level on Last Ninja on the C64 was very inspirational to me... Having grown up on the "B grade" action movies with pretend ninja's and the like! :D

I loved the music for this game back in the 80's, and now it gives me some warm fuzzy nostalgia vibes. The person that did the music for this game really knew how to milk the SID chip for all it was worth. 😀

As much as I love Wilderness by Ben, the level loaders by Anthony Lees are just the best. A lot of emotional depth to those arrangements.

Why is inner sanctum level missing?

Reason might be it is identical to the Dungeons Loader Theme.

A lot of metal musicians like Jari from Wintersun have said this game's music has been a big inspiration for them. The part starting at 6:17 I even recognize from Dragonforce's song "Revelations".

@@cackoocacho1629 Why? They actually do sound pretty similar at the beginning. I prefer what Lower Level has going on in the second half, but I don't think what Julien said was that crazy.

@@cackoocacho1629 same chord progression, a very similar melody, what else do you need? came to that conclusion more than a decade ago, thought it was a common knowledge. anyways, some of the Lees' tracks are unbeatable here, like Palace Garden's Loader, for example.
