0:38 The Last Of Us game came out in 2013. The DLC came out in 2014, the remastered came out in 2014, the second game came out in 2020 and the remake of the first came out in 2022. So it has been around for a while, and a second season is currently being filmed for the second game.

If you really want to know what's going on, you have to pay attention to every little comment, including the background radio and TV broadcasts. They never flat out state the origins of the infection, but it's heavily implied if you pay attention. I've never played the game, but from what I understand, it's fairly close to the original story in the game. Cordyceps is a real fungus and it actually does what the scientist describes. The main difference is the way cordyceps is spread here in the show vs reality and in the game. The creators of the show said that they couldn't go with the reality because if they did, humans would have absolutely no chance and be completely wiped out. They go into detail about how cordyceps works in this world in another episode. There is a second game and there's supposed to be a season 2 of this series coming out. I don't know if they would consider a season 3. Oh, and it would still be a series even if there was only one season. A series is simply a particular media with multiple episodes. A "show" is simply the type of media. It's not a podcast, vlog, or movie series, for example.

@@psychokitty71 Season 2 is coming out in Korea. Kim Eun-hee, the writer of "SIGNAL", said it in person, and I think the lead role will be the same. Production will probably take more than a year
