Kathleen's right hand man, Perry, is played by Jeffrey Pierce, the voice and motion capture actor who played Tommy in the game series! I love the details in the series that match the game exactly, like the same jokes in the book with the same cover as in the game. It's cool that we get those direct nods to the game in a living adaptation.

I like how this episode focused more on the characters bonding and getting used to each other. It’s always nice to see some character development this early on in a show.

I'm reminded of playing skyrim. How bandits act all tough when they ambush you, but after you kill 3 out of 5 of them they scream and run and ask for mercy. I showed them NONE. You can't be willing to kill someone for loot then cry mercy.

Some neat things to think about: -When Ellie asks about being found in the woods, Joel doesn't end up going to sleep and guards all night. -When the truck crashes, Joel's instinct went back to Sarah in the earlier truck crash, hence the concern in his voice. -That cathodic laughter at the end released a lot of tension, he got a deeper sleep for it but that's why he rolled over. The walls he put up to not bond with anyone are starting to thin a bit.

The pun book is from the game too, it was a gift from a certain someone in the DLC. They aren't just raiders, they were the populace of the QZ that toppled FEDRA and then took all their gear. That much was also explained in the game, but they were otherwise pretty faceless. Henry & Sam are brothers. Henry allegedly ratted out Kathleen's brother to FEDRA, which allegedly killed him.

Gas will only last 18-24 months under ideal conditions (new container, fresh fuel, fuel stabilizer, climate controlled storage). Diesel will last 24-36 months. Carry on girls.
