This game is a fucking masterpiece dude :) This game doesn't have the predictable plot that first person shooters are know for, and it creates an emotional bond between the player and the NPC's (Ellie, Sarah,) which is something not many games can do! Last of Us received over 250 game of year awards and an average 10/10 from critics. Naughty Dog worked up a perfect game that should have received more recognition from the gaming community. And the Multiplayer has lots in store for you. Your play style will effect how strong you are, and each game will impact you as a player. l hope this game still brings you joy the way it does to me. I completed it like 3-4 times. The first time on easy then on the hardest difficulty that came with DLC. OMG that was the hardest campaign ever. I struggled the entire way through. A real good experience though. Then I completed it on hard, missing the entire reason for going through so I started it again, only to realise I missed something else near the beginning. Not such a good experience. So I finally completed it a full 3rd time on easy with all upgrades etc... a kind of funny, more cinematic/hollywood style playthrough, with lots of ammo.

See I whole heartedly think you missed a trick here. You should always play a game on a difficulty that challenges you, I never read the reviews when I bought this game. I didn't know what to expect. I bought it last year and put it straight onto Hard. Everything I encountered I wasn't expecting, you had to learn the different enemies and their paths, getting spotted wasn't an option and it really makes you appreciate the elements of the game that much more. My all time favorite playthrough of this game was on Grounded, I wish that was the only playthrough. You don't need weapons or listen mode, just the ability to learn the maps and enemy movements. For me, every chapter was a challenge and I died a lot. But I was always trying to scour the environment and pick it clean. If I had beat it on easy, I wouldn't have bothered. When TLOU2 comes out, it will be played on the hardest setting first time.

These songs makes me feel like in diving in The Last of Us's World where humanity is certainly better washed off, but seing the shadow of a great civilization and remembering old times is sad. I guess Joel was right about not giving up Ellie just to produce the cure for humanity, in this world of selfishness we have to protect what is important for us because if we don't no one else will, it's really disturbing if we think too much about today's society and how it works.

Anyone else think Joel lost it at the end? No better than the soldier that shot his daughter at the start... Killed lots of innocent people to stop Elly doing something she wanted to do anyhow. it was like the world said FU to him at the start and he just gave the world a MASSIVE FU at the end. I know thats probably the idea, huge moral gray areas in his choices, and shows that humans will harm others to protect the ones we love. Would you save a loved one at the cost of thousands of lives too? Powerful game :)
