The saddest scene for me was when Sarah dies. That was by far the saddest scene of any game I have ever played, and I have been playing games for 15+ years.

that second daughter "baby girl" scene got to me. i choked up a lot during the game, but that part did it for me lol. and imo this wasn't hero vs villain, but rather us vs them. and being that we played as joel and ellie, i rooted for them.

I think Joel was the villain against mankind in the end, he refused to possibly save the world over one girl that he saw as his daughter. If Sarah never died, he probably would have let the Fireflies perform the surgery on Ellie.

Best story driven game I've ever played. Hands down I cried twice. When henry died and when sarah died. The emotion in the characters faces was real. You could see what joel and ellie were feeling. No game competes with the last of us for story. Thats all im going to say because the story is the only reason to get this game.

Has anyone actually seen what happens if Joel doesn't get Ellie to the elevator when he's carrying her? The fireflies literally take her away from him and one of the soldiers take him down and blow his brains out with the assault rifle. It was very emotional.

No because Joel lied about what happened like he shot Marlene and Ellie was the only cure. he lied saying that they had stopped looking for a cure and there were more ppl like Elle and at the end Ellie asked if all he told her was true. Joel said "I swear" and then she said "Ok" that was the ending. it was good enough for me

The only way you wouldn't is if you got bitten to a point where you lose so much blood that you die. I already told you that if you pause the game you can see Tess get bitten for a split second.

The other girl with ellie in the comic is Riley. These comics cover the background of Ellie leading up to the game. So in the later comic they will show when she got bitten.

Firstly my bruva nice of you to join the last of us ending crew..well done!! So the last of us ending leaves soooo much room for a sequel. This game was the most emotional game i ever played enjoyed all characters was just an amazing game been so long since i played a game like that. And on top of that the multiplayer is so much more than i expected...however the multiplayer does need to be expanded a bit to help it keep its life but overall you called it GAME OF THE YEAR!

Honestly I liked the ending just for the fact that they didn't put a typical save the world bullshit. Joel saving Ellie outlined his human nature of being greedy for the loves one and chooses her over the world. Also I think they set it up nicely for the second installment of TLOU if they do decide to make one which i'm pretty sure they will. All in all a great game, and one of the best emotionally gripping one that I have ever played.

I kinda played around with the doctors. I first flamed em, bowed em, and then restarted the encounter. I just made up crazy combinations, even the doctor that threatens you with the knife. Fun time.

Looking back at this this now given that someone whispered that naughty dog is making remake. Idk why they doing that while these suckas could just do a new IP but I get that the last was as Sucessful game. They probably gonna do some more flashbacks like they did in part 2. Idk if that's a good thing or not but the the last of us part 1 was an awesome classic by itself and still stands out even to today

Here's another way to look at the ending: Maybe Joel felt that humanity wasn't worth saving. And that if the government got their hands on the cure, they would only give it to a select few people., Which would cause more chaos. So its possible that Joel didnt want to put Elie's life on a chance to saving humanity. Especially since thaat all of humanity has turned thier backs on each other for their own survival.Remember the part when the first met the raiders? How they killed humans for loot?

I honestly did like the ending. I was a little miffed that it did end so suddenly, but personally, I was just glad that neither of them died, because I grew to really care about both Joel and Ellie. There was an actual emotional attachment to both of them for me.

The sequel would most likely have different main characters (that is what Neil Druckman said and he is the creator/writer/director of the game so what he says goes), so I think if they can't make another game with Joel and Ellie I say just leave it as 1 game. They definitely would have to have Ellie in the 2nd game as a main character and if you could play her in that game for the full game that would be cool.

I hated it sooo much when marlene told joel that ellie is gettin ready for surgery and that he cant see her, but then i equally hated how joel was so selfish to kill everyone in the hospital, including marlene, to save ellie. I probably stood there for about 20 seconds with my pistol pointed at the surgens waiting for something else to happen. I didn't love the ending, but i think that's, in a way, what makes it sooo amazing! Naughty dog is constantly raising the barr.

i think the writers/directors wanted to end this game with ambiguity, because lets be honest, theres more to talk about the future beyond that last scene, then lets say, joel turning or ellie dying. naughty dog took the best approach in my opinion, its a great cliffhanger, not an annoying one, but one that makes you put your self in joels shoes, and embrace the possibilities. will their be a sequel; i think there will be but not one that follows joel and ellie.
