I remember that afternoon. I was a Work From Home person even back then, and often had Twitter open in a browser window. It might have been around the 6th inning, but all of a sudden multiple people start tweeting about something special brewing at Safeco. The crowd might have been small, but I suspect TV ratings spiked after the 7th inning. I just watched the twitter feed as it happened. The Mariners had a really rough stretch for a few seasons, but hey, the perfect game is untouchable and cemented Felix as one of the greats of his era.
