I have 31 years traveling in South America. 16 years in Colombia (child in this territory also) you need a minimum of 18 months before you really judge a territory. Also fluency in the territory language seriously helps determine a TRUE cultural experience for a foreigner. Not just a few conversations behind a camera in the streets. I wouldn't totally confirm that white men have it BETTER in most South American countries! Not necessarily true from only a few meetings less than 9 months. Again you are not FULLY FLUENT IN THE NATIVE LANGUAGE. I advise you to give yourself time before you COMPLETELY determining the TRUE face of a COUNTRY.

Y’all are in denial. I lived there for 3 years. My Spanish is much better than his and what Austen’s saying is 100 percent correct. I have to blame black leadership in African countries and Carribean countries that take advantage of the natural resources of those countries for their own personal wealth. Plus maybe outside powerful influence from other countries and corporation. So, we cannot solely blame white supremacy. At the end of the day, we need to ask ourselves, what is happening within African countries and neighboring African countries? Especially with the question of unity. Look all the politics within Africa. Africa is divided. Too many civil wars, religious disagreements, colorism within Africa. There is just a mountain of things that have to be addressed within Africa first, before people around the world can take black people from anywhere seriously. I guess people around the world may slightly respect western blackmen or black people in general.

As a Black man who have traveled to Africa, Central and South America, and Asia. Outside of Africa, I now only travel to 3 cities. Salvador, Brazil, Cali Colombia and occasionally Cartagena. I would put Havana, Cuba on there, but they are just going through some very hard times. My number #1 is Salvador. outside of any African country. What i was in Italy i got love in Milan because there’s a notable amount of successful blacks there. There is no way that all of these white boys that Austin hangs out with actually look better than him. I’m sure bodily feature for bodily feature, Austin is the better looking guy in most cases. Brooo!!! I’m Caribbean and I’m telling you lot this now. You guys are missing out on Caribbean women I swear!!! They are up there with South America in terms of beauty but just on a smaller scale due to size. You have countries like Jamaica, Barbados, Puerto Rico, DR, Cuba, Martinique, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, Guyana, St Lucia, Guadeloupe and Dominica, Belize located in (Caribbean & Central A) and I could go on. Even Central America is amazing as-well like Panama, Costa Rica Guadeloupe and Nicaragua. I would recommend you starting with DR, Jamaica, PR, Trinidad & Tobago, Cuba, and Guyana. Go to any of these countries when it’s their carnival season and you’ll have a lovely time but always keep vigilant because some of these countries are very dangerous but for the most part it’s safe for tourists. You should definitely go because you’ll fall in love with the women, food, music and the beauty of these countries so overall you’ll just love being there. Good Luck!!

When I was in Africa a lot of the Africans was prejudiced, it was difficult to ignore, they made it clear that they didn’t like American blacks. Asked my why ain’t I sagging my pants, at the flee markets they jacked the price up on me but sold it too whites for a cheaper price. Stuff like that they tried to get us lost a few times. Overall I just had to get through it. I did meet a lot of great people anyone from Ghana is pretty cool based on my experiences.
