what a great memory you brought me. i took part in that movie which was mainly shot in Malta. one can see the difference in the colour of the sea which clearly shows the tank water and the mediterranean sea. thanks for posting.....

I heard that the shark in this movie was a more reliable prop than "Bruce" was in Jaws.. This movie was titled "Great White" in the US.

Yeah! I like a lot of those old movies' scores done by guido and maurizio de angelis. Killer Fish and Raiders of Atlantis are other good ones. Resident Evil 2 is the best remake.

it was so frighting when I was 7... didn't exist the RP rates back then.. sooo wrong and soooo cooooool!!! I peed my pants at the cinema, and got shark fascination! Love them because of that. I even learned how to punch in the face!

They filmed this in my hometown Savannah Ga within months of filming The Gates of Hell....my little brother and I are the two little boys at the Regatta scene in Great White, It shows me eating and then my brother runs and jumps into somebodys arms....the towm was all up in arms because they failed to get alot of permits, and Savannah was not quite used to the attention from Hollywood yet...I thought that could be my big break at the age of 12, ha ha, but alas I am still a waiter! ha ha

Director Enzo Castellari toyed with the notion to do a sequel, but didn't after the mechanical shark from The Last Shark became too damaged. :-/
