I appreciate the honesty and the critique guys. Believe me when I say I definitely know where both of you are coming from. I knew from the very start of making this tribute that the things I wanted to do was going to be a huge risk and that it would not work with everyone. Even though I’m proud of how this tribute turned out, the technical critiques have also been very understandable and is something that I have definitely taken to heart. Yeah no I think this was perfect. Some people hate the sequel trilogy and and a half hour video is a lot to ask of somebody to really sink their teeth in. I thought this was amazing and I congratulate you on this, this is the best video I’ve ever seen

Anakin did learn to stop people from dying but the secret was self-sacrifice. He saved Luke and it cost him. Kylo Ren wanted to be as great as his grandfather and learned to stop Rey from dying in a more impressive looking way but it came with the same cost.

FINALLY, been waiting for this reaction. The Last Skywalker was a monster edit that began focusing on the last biological Skywalker and exploded into the entirety of the Skywalker Star Wars Saga. It was awesome. The bittersweetness of this all however is that the saga ends with all Skywalkers dead and a last minute Palpatine/nobody taking the Skywalker name and leaving everything hollow and without a future. A Skywalker is a descendant of Anakin Skywalker, not some name you can just claim for yourself under any circumstance.

An tho it cleary did not hit you two as it his many of us, I appreciate the discussion and your point of view. An tho WE when WE saw it thought it was the best STar Wars Fan stuff every made yet by HFP, the points YOU both raised were valid. They just felt far less to US then the editing, and the message which would of improved films 7,8 and 9 TenFold. The Sith bias understandable 😂 The psychological themes about letting go of pain, accepting that you can't always control your fate, reconciling/forgiving yourself the bad things you have done, all so you can heal and be at peace are peak. And that's not even what the Jedi espouse either, they want to control their fate, determine outcomes and push away certain feelings just as much as the Sith. The whole point is that neither side embraces the balance or fully trusts in the Force to find their way, both flawed sides of the same coin. I felt that this wrapped up & highlighted the parallels with all the Skywalkers so well in fulfilling their destinies & learning their lessons along the way to finally realise the true way of things. But that's just imo 🤷‍♂️

When i say skywalker's, i mean all of them including luke and kylo. Skywalker's were willing to sacrafice there lives for peace sais enough and why. The skywalkers were willing to do it all to protect even from light or dark side true story.

I think it kept going to really nail home Kylo’s transition back to the Light and back to Ben Solo, and it’s done in a way that in my eyes is more cohesive than what Disney tried to do.

I understand your points init. But with this tribute you just need to appreciate the edit and how he was bringing the whole thing together. Like not everything will go how u want it to be, this tribute to me was just an overview of Star Wars and all the connections in it and the spins he put on it with Anakin’s force ghost speaking to Kylo and the other Jedi’s voices as Kylo was running to save Rey was hard fam. Don’t look into it so deep just appreciate the emotion and connections he was tryna make. Sequels suck to me but what he done in this video sort of put a different spin on the sequels to make them feel better, however we can’t change the sequels so in terms of what he’s done with the tools available, it’s a fantastic tribute. Our duty has to be the next reaction though guaranteed you’ll dig that.

Didn’t expect this type of reaction but I completely understand, the first 10 minutes was dark and heavily Sith related. Had amazing badass sequences and mashups of all 9 movies then it got a bit slow, the last 5 minutes of the edit was nice and sad. The middle and in between was just all over the place but nonetheless I enjoyed this edit and appreciate the man who dimmed down all 11 movies into an edit less than 30 minutes

The way the sequel trilogy is shot is backwards and this is what the creators were trying to tell. This video starts by kylo and by extending smoke (which is a Palpatine clone himself) finding exogol and Palpatine. And he promises Kylo the galaxy... which is then all the first order stuff we see next. The second half of the beginning is when Kylo gets defeated then snoke is calling him weak and shit, he's talking about his pull the light and things are going generally bad for Kylo and first order and then Kylo and Rey fight on death star wreckage. When Rey beats him again and then heals him, this is just classic redemption stuff, and it is supposed to slow down the pace. By this point this is supposed to be about the end of the second movie. The "third movie" is supposed to be where he starts to full redeem himself and help destroy the first and final order. That fleet vs fleet scene was awesome though and its where the pace picks back up again. It was pretty great. I think this was an amazing video. Its rhymes, it fixes a lot of the shitty plot just by rearranging the shots. It doesn't fully redeem the abomination that is the sequel trilogy, but it fixes my head Canon and I appreciate this video

For me the only critique was that they didn't "fix" the horrible ending. Rey dead, kylo saves her, then kylo dead bullshit. Rey should have just stayed dead. She would have been better as a martyr and as the McGuffin that is used to bring Kylo back to the light and "restore balance" (which by the way, i agree with you, how does all sith dead and only jedi alive mean "balance"? Seems like an absolute to me and as obi wan says, only a sith deals in absolutes). At the very least, even if he was able to save her, he shouldn't have just died. That was so fucking dumb. Palpatine says only sith can save people from death and he was a fucking liar. He manipulated Anikan and half the galaxy so I dont believe him when he says "not from a jedi"

i really enjoyed the majority of it. The only times where I got pulled out were the sudden switches of pace. Where it goes from banging badass stuff to sad stuff all of a sudden. and the clips of that marriage movie that the actor who plays kylo was in. I think that was out of place and really took me out of it. i think if they did less switches with the music and the overall vibe of the thing then it would've been a lot better. but overall I think it was really good. a bit too long of a video but good nonetheless.

Appreciate your view but yall hanging on to the Dark side a lil too much. Where's the balance fellas. Once again HFP makes a masterpiece an captures the balance of the skywalker bloodline. Having Anakin/Vader and Kylo/Ben dabble in both light an dark side. This tribute shows the connection to the sequel trilogy and improves on the ideas for the final scenes.. IMO
