love u mate, keep explaining complex topics like this by making them simpler, it really helps especially coz im a high school student really interested in learning this stuff but never fully understand it from griffiths.

Me too bro. I bought 'Introduction to Quantum Mechanics' by Griffiths 6+ years ago and I tried learning QM from different sources but never got anywhere. But this channel has finally rekindled my hope of understanding Griffiths - maybe I'll even get my money's worth after 6 1/2+ years!!! 😁😁😁

I was reading Griffiths' Introduction to quantum mechanics ( I am just a CS student interested in quantum computing ) and I must say that your videos do live up to that book! Watching you and reading that together really helps me understabd a lot better.

Parth, this is a powerful video absolutely outstanding, I really understand normalization of the wave function now you explained it, better than even in some quantum physics textbooks or papers. I love your videos vI have learned much from them. Please keep making them. Loved all your videos on Maxwells Equations of Electromagnetism, but I'm still waiting for final video. Kudos to you😊.

I have been looking to one of your older video on Uncertainty principle. There you said that the wave function of the momentum is the Fourier transform of the wave function of position. My question is why it is so ???? Btw your all videos are awesome. :^) Thanks for explaining so nicely .
@akashsunil74643 жыл бұрын
Because when u graph out the uncertainty in momentum and space setting up a limiting factor such as the plank value u get a sorta sine graph one will be big the other will be small and when u sum it up u get a fourier transform u can actually do it on your own in the graph paper and check it
@yashrajdebnath57473 жыл бұрын
@@akashsunil7464 But isn't that how we 'verify' that thing. I was asking about what causes that dependency. Btw thanks for your answer : )
@theonionrouter89353 жыл бұрын
Not sure if this is your forte, but it might be interesting to see the pure math side of things, like how the curvature of spacetime is modeled using differential geometry. Also, Noether’s theorem might make an interesting video topic.

Hey Parth, I know most of high school maths and basic college maths, so I'm glad I was able to understand mathematically and physically what was going on here. But I have a question, when you integrated from 0 to a, you got the result as a/2. I just assumed you were going to set a/2 = 1 and get the value of the position when x =a, in this case, 2. So how does the problem actually arise in the solution you solved for in the previous video?
@deemedepic77213 жыл бұрын

Sorry! but the way you sketched the |Ψ|² graph slightly upset me... The value of the square should be less than its original value given that it was less than unity. Which makes the graph look like a bell curve Also,here the 1st derivative of the wave-function squared is continuous The curve you drew is the same,except you didnt smooth it out near the terminals/walls. And drew cusps instead of a sinusoid in the wave-functions corresponding to higher energies Its just a mere sketch anyways...so it doesnt matter Sorry for this comment Doesnt affect how much i liked this video! Thanks if you really read this!

nice explanation, but the only relevant part is at the end of the video, you could have done a much shorter and on point video just what the last part, and you would have perfectly answered what normalization is

wait so...the likely of you finding it above the graph is 100, but the likelihood of finding it below is not 100, so you alter the top until the bottom equals 100...but now the top doesn't equal 100 anymore. I was super tired ill rewatch later ; saving only for that purpose, not 'cuz i like the video or anything.
