Meaning, not only has he memorized the song so perfectly he doesn't need them, but he has this song SO MEMORIZED that he can sing it and just fucking run with it. He can't hear himself to harmonize, but he has each of the parts so perfectly down he DOESN'T NEED THE HEADPHONES?!?

Mongo The Magnificent as a music production student, I can guarantee that that is genuine singing. I’m not saying that there’s no processing but it doesn’t sound auto tuned or put through a lot of melodyne. That being said he had to be listening to something because it’s impossible to just stay in time with a recording you can’t hear 🤷♀️
@mongothemagnificent73714 жыл бұрын
@@Rpsinclair I just meant that they could edit it to sync if there were any difference. If I remember right, the shot of him with no headphones was him doing the "ooo's". Wouldn't be too difficult to do if you know the timing.
@mongothemagnificent73714 жыл бұрын
@@Rpsinclair that's awesome though. I wanna do something like that. I taught myself how to make instrumentals and do all the mixing and mastering and whatnot when I was rapping, but I never got a proper education on it. I had some friends that had me produce for them as well, but they didn't really understand that it takes time. They wanted to record something, then instantly put it out with zero filters or anything, making it sound like absolute shit cause it was all recorded in a closet too XD

***** No, Id say Brian is 50% of NSP.....he composes the songs with Danny(they brainstorm the lyrics together for the most part), he helps him with the voice recording and he plays almost all the instruments featured in NSP. Barry/Kevin are the guys who do the polish for the show, they are NOT part of the creative process(except when they are on the actual show as grumps). Sure, sometimes they throw some sht on the screen but they are not comparable to Brian in NSP. I love Barry btw, but I think it's not fair to compare his role in GG to Brian's role on NSP.... Barry does music too, you cn compare that to Brian's work if you'd like, that would be appropiate.

Like she gets turned into a human and her first reaction is "oh god so this is mortality-- this body is dying all around me- being taken by the Red Bull would have been better than this --my psyche is quickly being overcome by this human consciousness ahsfhalsfha" like Lord. Then she gets turned back and she's like "never has there been a unicorn who could regret, but i am not like that anymore because i have experienced what it is like to be mortal , and so some part of my soul remains mortal, and so I can experience regret...and love" LIKE are all unicorns sociopaths? that's some deep shit right there.

I FINALLY FLIPPING FOUND IT!! For real, I thought this film was a fever dream I'd mistaken as a childhood memory bc nobody knew what I meant when I talked about the "the film with the talking horse who becomes a girl and theres a magician and some nightmare fuel and memory loss and the horses are the sea at the end". Somehow my brain latched onto a few select scenes like the sick-looking boy loving her as a human and that horrific bird and some sort of montage scene where the magician is juggling and a cat takes one of the balls...either way, the point is I was really young when we had this vhs and as a result I somehow forgot that the main character was specifically a unicorn and its kept me from finding this incredible piece of my early childhood for YEARS until right now! Seeing those clips and hearing that music was like someone burst a bag of nostalgia confetti over my head, dear lord I now know what I'm doing for the rest of the evening!

@@alistair4909 I saw it on VHS when I was little. We rented it from our local video store. Then we recorded it when it played on I believe HBO. I wore that tape out. Peter S. Beagle went on tour a few years back with the film as it showed in select theatres and talked with fans and signed autographs. My goal/wish was to get the Last Unicorn pushing the Red Bull into the sea tattooed on my thigh and then have him autograph under it. Then, just afterwards, I was going to go and get his signature tattooed over, so it was permanently there, as well as her. I just never had the money to do so. I still want to get the tattoo and someday I swear I'll get the money saved up to do so. When I say this film got me through some difficult times as a child, I am super serious. I'm crying just typing this. But I'm highly emotional anyway. I can't help it.
@purplekittigaming2 жыл бұрын
I know how that feels. The same thing happened to me with The Secret of NIMH until I finally saw it in middle school. I saw Unicorn as an teenager but somehow misremembered the unicorn as dying at the end. I thought it was meant as a tragedy. Finally a few years ago I saw it again, even though I was certain I wouldn't like it much, as I didn't understand the point of her tragic death. Then I saw the whole movie for what it really was, and it's been high on my list of favorites ever since. Looking back, I think the reason I remembered it wrong is because I saw it at my friend's house and we all had to leave to go somewhere halfway through the movie, so I didn't see past the part where she was turned human after the Red Bull attacked her, so my in my memory I just assumed that was the end of it.

my favorite thing Danny and Arin ever said on GG, was when they were playing breath of the wild. Arin commented on his beautiful voice Danny replied with "it's not my voice that's beautiful, i actually sing terribly , i don't know why people enjoy it to be honest". and Arin said something along the line that it's his beautiful soul we love.

Its taken me this long to make this comment, but I think I'm in a good enough spot I can do so without crying. First you need to know that The Last Unicorn was a favorite movie of my brother, and we both loved this song growing up. My brother made your version his ringtone, and I heard it while I was hanging out with him during the last months of his cancer battle. Ive been a fan of NSP for a long time, and was of course excited to hear it. My brother was unaware of all of the music you guys had created, so I was able to have one more bonding moment with him showing off all your videos and songs. Thank you for giving me one more special moment with my brother before cancer took him away. This song is beautiful, you guys are awesome and I'll always be a little in your debt. Thank you again!

Emiko Chauhan honestly as someone who is, for one a male, And for two a teenager. This movie is amazing, and it's not extremely kid friendly. I remember being absolutely terrified for weeks after I first saw it. I think that it's a severely underrated movie ( I can't include book because I've never read it. I didn't even know it was a book until now and know I have to read it.) and I haven't had the opportunity to see it for a few years. Know I'm going to call my sister and ask if she still has it.
@Servellion7 жыл бұрын
Mainly because they probably thinks it's some My Little Pony stuff. TLU is pretty complex and inverts a lot of fantasy stereotypes, but most people don't give it a chance as they hear something about unicorns and their minds shut down and go for the nearest assumption ie girly and kid friendly.
@LifeGoddessTaimat7 жыл бұрын
EvilCleric Unicorns are so badass. Early writings depict them as fierce and savage beasts never to be approached for any reason. There is old artwork of unicorns fighting lions in single combat. And have you seen the unicorn in Final Fantasy?! Thing's a beast! Originally, unicorns were described as monsters, but over time they became associated with purity, innocence, and virginity. Bleh. Unicorns are some of the wildest motherfuckers out there!

When the last eagle flies Over the last crumbling mountain And the last lion roars At the last dusty fountain In the shadow of the forest Though she may be old and worn They will stare unbelieving At the Last Unicorn When the first breath of winter Through the flowers is icing And you look to the north Where the pale moon is rising And it seems like all is dying And would leave the world to mourn In the distance hear the laughter Of the Last Unicorn I'm alive, I'm alive When the last moon is cast Over the last star of morning And the future has passed Without even a last desparate warning Then look into the sky where through Through the clouds a path is torn Look and see her how she sparkles It's the Last Unicorn I'm alive, I'm alive

My grandmother had passed away 7 years ago to this day. She read the last unicorn to me when I was a child, and we watched the movie every summer. Jason Orozco You can tell from the way they chose to appear distinctively out of character in this that they're kind of scared of the NSP community rejecting this. They have a pretty good reason. The Zigzagman I believe they appeared out of character to separate the Ninja Sex Party name with this e for everyone song, even though its still on the NSP channel.
