It was my most anticipated book to receive, and while it is a wonderful production, I’m a bit let down. I also thought the cloth binding would be woven, like an old tapestry. I distinctly remember the renders looking more ragged if you will. Mild complaint, but I would have also prefered a blind stamping on the spine rather than gold foiling, again like the render. But that’s just me and no big deal. And I agree with about the muted colors of the illustrations.

I’ve come to the conclusion that my expectation was an 11/10 but the reality was more like a 9/10 - which is still an amazing book, but perhaps has a bit of disappointment at first.
