These are the memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. I know I'm 69 years old and have DVD'S of things I did with my grandkids back then . What a sweet old gentleman, he reminded me of my Dad collecting what some of us would consider junk, those old saws and such. I loved that as to him there was still use out of those old saws, even though they probably were beyond repair Ralph was a recycler before the term even came to fruition. Thank you for reposting this as I did not see it the first time.

They dont make um like they used to!His generation is fading fast I'm 55 as you are and have spent alot of time with my elders I have learned soooo much from them...and the fact you let him enjoy his cigarettes in yer suzuki speakes volumes to your character! You are the real deal Mr Ward! I had a Great Aunt and Uncle named Sybil and Harold Ward they were the most special folks in the world! They took care of my lil brother and me when we were little and treated us soo good !I miss um dearly! Love your vidjas! Keep up the good work John! Love ya Buddy! Use blocks. Dig down 6”. Put down stabilizer fabric. 4” of rock tamped in. Light layer of sand to level with. Then patio blocks. There is a joint sealer that goes in between the blocks to keep weeds out.

I have two of those blue hurricane lamps. One was clear and one was red. I have had them probably for 35 years. I have always been told that that was from the railroad. That’s what the old timer always told me. Because they were have to duty and they could swing them off the back of the caboose and the operator could see him.
