Came across this video by chance, and happen to recognize the song. Some of the only historic video footage from my local area has a cover of this song playing in the background. Not sure who added it or when, but it’s nice to put a name to the song!

Strange how perceptions differ! I find this a very plodding rendition. This is not meant as a criticism, though: it's a perfectly nice version, and very well played - it just wasn't what I was expecting.

@@G6JPGThis is played from a piano roll, that is the plonky sound you hear. Piano rolls do not offer any tension in the notes, they simply play them as harsh as it comes. It is being played automatically, no people involved.

@@G6JPGThis is the piano roll, hence the plonky sound you are hearing. Piano rolls do not offer any tension in the notes; they play it as harsh as it comes. Piano rolls are an automatic process with no human involved in the playing.

@@JaggerHA I realise that. However, they're often made by "recording" a human playing, or at least if made from a midi file or something, someone "tweaks" the file a bit. This sounds like a very fixed-tempo translation (except right at the end). However, @juliehartley3652 liked it, so what do I know!
