The Late Effects of Polio & Your Health
@jayendepersil66073 ай бұрын
My mother and I were victims in the summer of 1954. I was 5. She, 26. My mother... Her spine. She had to endure a huge plaster around her torso. From under bust to above hips. She was always of the mind that... Poor baby. There were plastic body casts. But not for her. This was after the War. No money for her to have a fancy brace. But I was victimized in my legs. At 5 . Can anyone imagine a beautiful child left to look like a zombie. Oh. I forgot. I'm 75 now. And literally my frame is falling apart. 1994 introduced the hell of a collapsed ribcage. Which is still shining brightly.

No the Polio vaccine is the preventive to not getting Polio. Once you have gotten Polio most everything is determined on how effected u are, what effects u are left with. Taking care of your health over the years is key. Most people develop PPS as they get older. Some never do.
