I have a little suggestion, leave some security zone at the edge. This makes it easy to put a single module into a metal box.

Thank you Jehu for showing us, how you create these boards. You really motivated me creating my first pcb by myself. I did a lot of mistakes, so it took me a lot of time to finish my first iteration, but this is how we all learn, right?

I would like to see a case like a battery for a scooter that can open up and you add your own 18650/21700 cells into, then a number of these clip into a wall case for easy in and out removal ( holding 5-10 maybe) which then checks and balances them. You could then use this as a powerwall style home battery and change each pack as they degrade for newer cells.

OMG,I want this module 2 years. Now the price of 21700 has increased by 3 times, and the first 5000mAh's new battery is as long as 1 dollar.I am designing a 4680 for QC5 + (48V 240W) scheme.

@Darer007 cybertruck production to start 2023. Add another 2 years for the first salvaged ones become available and that makes it 2025 before you see the first cell. Use your time wisely and do something useful in the meantime.

@@acalciu There aren't a ton of cheap 4680 batteries available right now, but there are a handful of samples that will allow me to make a kit ahead of time right now.

Fortunately there's plenty of really good 18650s out there that can really pack a punch. What I would like is something along the lines of a 15 500 battery like a triple a that packs a punch of a 21700. In the e-bike world size really does matter.

How is the contact resistance with those cell-swappable cell holders? I always found them to result in high voltage drops in high power applications. I much prefer spot welding with nickel tabs to minimize the internal losses. That just gives a much more well defined electrical connection.
