The latest breakdown saga with our VW ID.4 EV

As regulars to this channel will know, I drive a #VW #ID.4 #GTX and had quite a few issues with it over the last 2 years of ownership.

Do not buy an EV!! IMO, they are not fit for purpose and unreliable compared to ICE cars

To give you a real answer about Ev’s just get a trade in price they are worthless, my friend had an ionic5 47 grand new had it two years did 13 thousand miles, resale quote given from the dealer 15 grand is a joke, also road tax coming in next year on Ev’s not fit for purpose

Sell it Ev’s are shite get a diesel or petrol

We also have a petrol VE Golf GT that we use for travelling long distances cos the cost of EV charging at public chargers is extortionate and 9 times out of 10 they are already occupied by someone else or broken. Luckily we have a charger at home on a cheap rate tariff where I can get a full charge (260ish miles) for just over £2. We mainly use the EV for commuting or travelling a distance of less than 200 miles. Any more than that we use the Golf + we use the Golf for commuting as well
