The latest forays into cast models. Autumn 2022. Shopping at flea markets in Poland.

This video shows my next purchases at flea markets in Poland this fall. I show three different places where I buy my cast models. The prices of such damaged cars range from 1 to 5 €. In the video, you can turn on subtitles in your language with a commentary on the action. Sometimes you have to decide very quickly, because there is no shortage of willing customers for this type of shopping. In today's video, for example, I failed to show the packaging of classic models that could only be purchased whole. Me, seeing what rare models the presented box contains, I had to decide whether to buy them quickly or shoot a film. Therefore, the last model show is without the place of purchase. The Polish market of die-cast models is mainly cars that are imported by our citizens from abroad. Thank you for watching the video, I publish videos with car repair on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Whoa. The selection at those flea markets look like my collection. I have several of the ones you saw and/or purchased. But damn, I like that blue Chevelle you picked up. Also you scored a red baron mini-haha ( I think that was what it was called). They are worth a bit of coin to the right person. Your one is a lot less beat up than mine. You saw so many different models that I still have or, at least, remember. A good haul, and also your flea markets are a lot more forthcoming than what I find in my country. Don't take it for granted.

The 5 wheel Trans Am is a Matchbox Trickshifter, the dial on the rear window sets the delay for the the trick, the stick picks which trick to perform, and the 5 wheel clicks in underneath. They were sold with a launcher, I’ve still got mine from a kid. Nice haul, saw lots I’d buy too.

Nostalgie ... Ik kan bijna het aantal Matchbox-, Siku- en Corgi-modellen dat ik me nog herinner uit mijn kindertijd niet tellen. Had persoonlijk altijd wat een voorkeur voor Siku, weet ik nog. Verbazingwekkend dat ze nog zo goed vindbaar zijn na al die jaren, al is het dan soms met missende onderdeeltjes en veelal minder verf.

Hi Paul , and hello to all the Polish people , from France . We are all together now . I think you picked up 2 gold nuggets there , Chitty chitty bang bang and of course Captain Scarlett ! Shucko’s are great toys and the ones I had were as solid as real german cars. I hope some day you find a really, really badly damaged , practically destroyed Corgi Major- American LaFrance firetruck and bring this Graal of toys back to life with all its detailed ladders , figures and equipment that would be a challenge, but perhaps I’m beeing a little too demanding ( the original box fetches a respectable 250€ ). hello from germany. :) Speaking of Schuco, Majorette once tried to press into their market of 1-66 scale models. the starting point was a Renault 16 with opening hood. but they seem to give up soon and sold the tools to Schuco, so those re-worked the baseplates and suddenly had Renault 5, 16, and 17 in their lineup. all three with french license plates, too. if you compare them three with the old Majorette R16 you'll see it, they are not exactly made like typical Schucos. :)

I always like to follow your hunts for diecasts. I try to predict which ones you'll get and starting to get better at it :) Cars that maybe really badly broken, but just have one fragile part that has miraculously survived are excellent for donors, and then all the vintage Matchbox that are reasonably intact . main thing is they're not missing major parts like doors and hoods. Cattle and other accessory-parts are also good buys. Many nice finds again and some pretty big tasks ahead, but we know you can do it!

Stawiam na Husky i chyba brakuje czarnego, zdejmowanego dachu. Tak czy owak - perełka. Mam taki niebieski model, ale z innej firmy. Ale sie zawiodłem...już był w ręku... DAF 3300 ATi z serii SuperKings. Wśrod takich DAFów i serii 95ATi spędziłem dzieciństwo. Duży model z duzym potencjałem modyfikacji (skala chyba 1:50 w Holandii i Belgii jest czesto customizowana i ma szeroki rynek części z metalu i żywic) i chetnie bym zobaczył jak z takiej zabawki robisz model, ktorego nie powstydzilby sie niejeden kolekcjoner.

Hi Alan, I pay atention, when Paul buys, and the things I notice it´s that the model cars, must have metalic base, then the brand for example "Majorete", there some cars, that the wheels are made of stiff plastic instead of rubber, that are the points that I noticed, I want to start a collection too, and that will be the points for evaluate models :D

flea market, flea market, party time, excellent! :D I love going to flea markets, you never know what you'll find... couple weeks ago on a sunday I went to meet with friends, but had some time to burn, when I saw a little flea market. instead of going for a burger I headed for the opportunity, and aside some more or less wellkept matchbox and corgi I found a corgi whizzwheels ford capri mk1 in civilian getup... taking the other turn had already paid out. :D nice collection you found there. :) the night-glow triumph is from an obscure series done by matchbox that lasted like, a year or something; one of those mattell bought from other toy makers to rebrand and market. also I see some nifty little Huskie models. their baseplates become more and more brittle; I hope yours will last. :) 20:25 Rambler Wagoneer and Plymouth Fury by Lone-Star models. I still don't know why they put a "1:50 scale" marking on the bottom, they are very obviously more like 1:41 scale or bigger... XD

Es sind alte Kühe, wahrscheinlich Britains. Ich benutze sie für verschiedene Modelle. Natürlich werden sie restauriert. solche Ergänzungen wie Kühe, Pferde fehlen immer, also sobald sie irgendwo auftauchen, kaufe ich sie nicht sofort. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

in Poland it's quite hard to find the original Hot Wheels from the 60's they weren't as common as the boxing match because I'm from Poland. Kind regards
