So happy for videos like this that show even the greats like Joe McNally build a shot step by step and even makes mistakes/changes along the way until he gets what he wants. So inspiring.

And coming from you....I mean, you both have a incredible sense of previsualization, you "always know" what you want, of course experimenting is important as well as creativity. That´s why I love see you both because is really really nice to see all the process to get a final image. Amazing.

The legend that is......Joe McNally. The outside gelled light blazing in WOW!. The way so many objects pick up nuances of the pinks and blues, give so much drama and depth to the image that it doesn't make sense any other way, for this type of scene. I adore cinematic scenes. that pull you in and will hopefully will learn enough to get started to use this kind of lighting inspiration in my work too. Joe you are always a inspiration and love how your mind conceptualise and apply such ideas. Thx Adorama for the video/BTS.

Back in the day the men's magazines such as GQ, Esquire etc would have layouts like this. Telling a story through photos and of course high fashion. It was much more interesting than the standard images of the models posing with their best mindless Zoolander expressions. These types of shoots and exactly how it's done with all the good bad and ugly moments tells the truth. Very helpful to those of us looking to come up with unique story telling through images both still and motion. Thank you for this.

Fabulous as always, Joe .... you’re the master. My only feedback is as with most KZbin BTS videos, the resulting photos flash by too fast. The video is 23m long and we’ve invested that time watching, but the payoff (the climax to your “movie”!) is so short. I want to savour what you’ve created
