Well there’s three reasons It’s a Kanto Marowak not Alolan as Lavender town is in Kanto Alolan Marowak is ghost type, but not dead as those are different things Alolan Marowak would really not fit into the setting. Kantonian Marowak makes sense as it’s just an average victim of Team Rocket’s activities in Kanto. While Alolan Marowak is a tropical island fire dancer who somehow must have had a vacation to Kanto for this to happen

When playing pokémon Yellow there is a small glitch with the healing circle. If you have your Pikachu faint and then pass through the circle, the Pikachu sprite starts acting a little weird, it gets delayed and can go through gravestones. Omg, that's brilliant. Especially since the original ultra wormhole in Kanto would have been in the sky. Maybe Silph Co. built up the tower to reach and ~contain~ that portal. Maybe this was their motivation to build in Lavender Town the whole time.

I think there's a lovely sort of crossover between "just an easter egg" and "lore explaining the original thing". Like, easter eggs like this tend to reference things that don't really have a place in modern games in the series. It's common now to just see ghost-type pokemon as the pokemon. Ghost-type has become just another type. So it would be weird if a modern game required you to have a special device to properly view ghost pokemon but there are tons of ghost pokemon and they're seen as more or less the same as any other type. It was fine in gen 1 because there were literally only 3 ghost pokemon, and they were all found in the same area. But because it doesn't work now it's ripe for being referenced as an easter egg. But even if it's not intended to be anything more than a nod to a thing from past games, still it opens up new opportunities. The developer doesn't have to "intend" for this to be a lore explanation, they just need to not explicitly state otherwise. The shrug of god, in tvtropes terms. So not just this, but any easter egg in any game has this amazing potential to become the source of very reasonable lore. And as long as it's not directly stated to not be canon it remains a potential canon. So, yeah, I love looking at things that are almost certainly nothing more than easter eggs and making them part of your understanding of the lore. Just as long as you never confuse it with explicitly stated lore and get mad at others who don't agree with you, of course. Always happy for more lore, even if it's unofficial theory crafting. Edit: Went on so much about that stuff that I forgot about the main thing I wanted to say, lol! Mentioning creepy spiritual connections to the radio made me think of a common sight on ghost hunting shows, a spirit box. A spirit box's purpose is to use radio waves to allow ghosts to communicate! So that's a fun connection! Even if a spirit box is supposed to let them communicate by rapidly switching between radio frequencies and allowing ghosts to "speak" from disjointed white noise, while the radio use in game is a single frequency. Still, fun connection.

I think it's neat that they referenced something that's not only a part of the games that make up the first gen of the Pokemon franchise, but also a part of one of the most iconic towns in said games( not to mention all the urban legends and creepypastas revolving it). I love this theory! So much to work with and it makes sense. Since Tera types are only a single type, the avatar of each type (the Lavender Tower Ghost for Ghost, Balloons for Flying, etc) might be avatars of that type in its purest form. You mentioned affinity and auras also, and the aura abilities (Xerneas's Fairy Aura, Yveltal's Dark Aura, etc) have a similar in game effect to Terastalization as far as empowering attacks of that type go. Basically there is a lot that supports this in both lore and mechanics without being said explicitly
