I like how the storytelling on IASIP mimics the main character's sociopathy. There are these recurring characters -- the Waitress, the Lawyer -- who cross paths with the gang multiple times but they never bother to learn their names because they are important only as placeholders in the gang's own self-involved schemes (Charlie probably knows the Waitress's name, but that's beside the point)

After years of one-upping the gang, the Lawyer is finally and decisively defeated by them in a court of law. He was an awesome foil but when you go looking for trouble with 5 complete psychopaths you might as well dig your own grave (for your eye)
