Let thoughts be. We are not our thoughts. We are the space that contains our thoughts. Awareness is EVERYTHING. It actually creates the great state of being if we LET IT. ♥️ Thanks for the most excellent reading of this book. 👍

Not vibing with this one. The Budha himself said he didn't have the whole truth and that there were many paths to enlightenment, yet this hippie here claims he does have the one path, the easy one at that, and of course is self love and drugs. He also seems to be one of those people that preach that evil does not exists, only lack of goodness, and that's a philosophy I disagree with. Evil is very real. Suffering is very real. Enlightenment as the Buddha taught was never about feeling good and denying reality, it was about acceptance and escaping suffering. This kinds of book are of help to no one. No offenses to the reader, he does a great job, I just don't agree with the content of this book.

Who are you -- honest to God -- to say "this book is _helpful to no one"?_ For a beginner (-- this is a beginner's book --), it has the power to open doors in the mind of the hearer. Certainly not you though. You, in your judgement, have condemned it, and so do not know the thing you perceive. My suggestion is to appreciate that there are MANY not on your level. And remember, the sword of judgement is double-edged. Put down your weapon. When I was around 30 years old, I located a book that absolutely opened me up to metaphysical realms in my true identity, when I was 18. Book changed my life. And I could not believe how inaccurate the things were that were said in that book! It doesn't matter, my friend. Entry level material must be understood as a wide bandwidth vibration. If you need narrow bandwidth vibration material, I'm sure you can locate it, or it you. Do not condemn. See the good. Hold your peace. We all fall short, as you say in different words. But I expect more from you by your self-exclamation. Think about it lol 🤍

_"this hippie here claims to have the one true path to enlightenment"._ Interesting remark.... Note, I did not have this particular perception myself. Perhaps a little Freud might be of service to you here. Projection. Goddamn hippies! Stay back! I'm armed! Stinkers! _"If I felt that way, maybe someone else does too. This is a letter to my brothers and sisters; a love note, to try to show how, when we thought love wasn't working, it was working perfectly."_ 15:52

Hi, I'm the reader. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I never expect to share anything that everyone will agree or resonate with, but I must admit I read the author's message very differently. I don't think he ever claimed evil didn't exist...but he was placing emphasis on how to nullify it. And I wasn't given an impression that he was claiming this was the *only* way to enlightenment; that would go against the heart of this book. Above all else, I don't believe this book was meant to be taken too seriously, or in a traditional/dogmatic manner. As with anything else the world can offer, it falls upon each mature and sentient individual to extract the nutrition from this work, and discard what's leftover. I myself have faith in the intelligence and perceptibility of my listening audience on this channel to know what concepts to keep, and which concepts to leave. In the end, it means this particular book was not for you. Nothing wrong with that! I do hope you will find others here you will enjoy, and find information that will benefit you greatly. Thank you once again.

well, to each their own? -- i acquired my first seed center copy of the lazy man's guide in the mid-70s -- i was also fortunate enough to be given a signed copy of the original typed version that thaddeus used to sell on the street -- i was given it by the poet donald sidney-fryer, who is the "don" from the "yellow submarine" on the dedication page -- subsequently i have spent the past 50+ yrs with a daily practice of meditation, including intensive silent retreats -- and my report is that i have seen nothing in my formal practice that i did not originally see in the guide -- and unfortunately, i have seen a ridiculous amount of harmful behavior from so-called "enlightened" gurus/tulkus who seemed unaware of the guides observation that "we are all equal beings" -- thank you, "the reader", and thank you thaddeus

@@bobadams9919 Thanks for taking the time to share your story Bob. It's always a great blessing to hear (or read) sincere personal accounts like this. Clearly, Thaddeus' work has made a worthwhile contribution to the world; your insights are evidence of that.
