Great old British morality tale…loved Jack Hawkins phrase, used it many times myself, “A rich man eat when you will, a poor man when you can”

What's the 'Moseley speaks' line referring to?
@jmccracken19635 ай бұрын
@@peternagy-im4be Sir Oswald Ernald Mosley (1896-1980), leader of the British Union of Fascists from 1932 to 1940. After the death of his first wife, Lady Cynthia (nee Curzon), of peritonitis in 1933, Mosley married his long-time mistress, Diana Guinness (nee Mitford), on 6 October 1936, in a secret ceremony at the Berlin home of Joseph Goebbels, head of the "Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda" in Nazi Germany. Adolf Hitler was the "guest of honor" at the wedding.

A very fine film except for the Major, whose insouciant, Good Old Chap manner and "oh darlings" become tiresome very quickly.
