I can maybe explain it. I am watching her things for a while now, but I always found it hard to actually fall asleep to it. As background? Yes. As active listening? Yes. But many of her videos have slightly creepy dark twists and athmosphere and that just makes it impossible for me to fall asleep. Maybe that’s something? I don’t know. I just watch her because I’m always stunned about her artistic performance. But I also think it’s because the asmr market is already flooded with too many big booby waifu thumbnails and food eating stuff. It’s harder and harder to find actual good artists in this bog.

It’s probably because she does a lot of fan role plays. Not everyone watches anime or plays video games

Two things that I’ve observed that could be a factor: She’s older and creates art instead of sketchy view catching videos with thumbnails. Also she has a flow that’s unique to this channel which is kinda hard to explain, like reading a book that’s hard to put down. She’s a storyteller, and most people I’d guess just want to sleep/relax to ‘traditional’ asmr

This reminds me of a ttrpg campaign I ran some years ago, wherein one of the Player Characters was a founding member of the 'Foundation of Arch Villainy' and the evil henchman's society called 'V.I.L.E' (Villains In League with Evil). He was an archvillain who'd been defeated and imprisoned for twenty years and was, just now, returning to get his vengeance and rebuild his power. It was a fantastic campaign, with some players that really embraced the role of villains in their world.
