I never knew they were called Facile Frames. And the tip about the rivet setting tool is absolute genius! Thank you.

Oh, my... GREAT stuff, Chuck. I had no idea about these as far as using them myself. Now I've got a ton of ideas floating around my head.

Leather Element Idea! I would looove more videos about making armour! You've got some great ones, but maybe more explanations of the pieces and their history, or a show and tell of the process if there is more detail you can think to share than what is explained in prior videos? Maybe even an armour-specific video explaining leather types. I hear Latigo is good for armour, but have no idea why.

Hi Chuck, I have a question about hardening. I have watched your video about it, but I have a sheath I have hardened, then stained and completed, but ther completed sheath was not as hard as I would like. Is it ok to put the finalized project back in a low temp oven to allow the leather to get a bit harder, or will this mess up my project? Thanks for all the great infoirmation you give us!

I've never seen these on any leather projects before, thanks for showing us! Could you describe the differences between the nickel and the brass versions?
@WeaverLeatherSupply Жыл бұрын
Hi Derek! The only difference would be the hinges are a different finish so if you're using stainless or nickel hardware on the rest of the project, we would go with the nickel facile frame and then same with brass. You'll be able to see the hinge so it will match the rest of the project. Hope that helps!
