Well you know, use what you’ve got! I tested a different point of durability. As I’ve said about five times now, there’s an update video coming where I will have a coat hanger, so keep your eyes peeled.

The coat hangers that broke the other guys' tools are nothing more than fencing wire which you would be cutting on a farm which is a very soft, easy wire to cut. Even Gerber's carbide cutters can cut fencing wire

Agreed. This was a lot tougher and didn’t break it as bad. It’s not about the strength of the cutter, it’s about the angle, I think. Regardless I’m sure leatherman will fix it. In the mean time you can always order the old ones

@@dualsportoutdoorsso I threw my old supertool (2019) wire cutters on there with no problem, and the surge wire cutters that I somewhat broke in this video fit as well (2021) so maybe your set or tool is off? If replacements don’t work I’d reach out to Leatherman

You don’t understand whats going on with the arc, if you try to cut a smaller hard wire, they will chip out

I saw them use a coat hanger, which is not hard. I don’t have one on hand but honestly I’m surprised it handled this.

Regardless, it’s not just the arc. I spotted the same cutters on Trent’s brand new surge. This is going to afflict every single new tool leaving the factory.

No it’s just people being FUCKTARDS, I literally just watch someone cut all sorts of gauge wire and coat hangers with the arc wire cutters and still not a scratch on it, it’s user error shoving it in the gap that they clearly know about.

As I mentioned in the video, and in my other two comments, I did not have a coat hanger. In this video I tested how well they hold up to normal and hard use. In the update video, (one week) I will have a coat hanger.

Regardless, these cutters are on Every new Leatherman leaving the factory, Trent got a new surge a few months ago that has the same ones. This video was primarily my initial review. Thanks for commenting!
