The curl is a very underrated tool. Best budget multitool leatherman makes. On a side note, with the lack of locks, the Curl really feels like a stepchild of the OG wave instead of the normal wave or wave+.

I seriously think the tools would fit in the wave plus I have a extra wave frame I've been thinking of putting together this would be the cheapest way to get the parts

Love it even for the price point. It's easier to carry than a wave and the awl was my tipping point. They should make one with a saw for an affordable outdoors option.

Good review-the curl would make a good first multitool for someone looking to dip their toe in the leatherman game. Unrelated: what type of hatchet is in the background

@@jooky5 thank you for the compliments! I truly appreciate you watching my video. The hatchet in the background is actually a very inexpensive one. I picked it up at a local WalMart. It is made by Camillus. Right around the holidays, they frequently offer a version of this simple hatchet. It has a very thin blade that really bites into material. It is light and agile. I carry a Fiskars X7 for splitting wood…. Because the Camillus is not good at that at all due to the way the blade meets the handle. But for quickly cutting small material it is amazing. If I am just building a small fire and setting up a simple shelter….a Garberg and this Camillus hatchet pair together well in a lightweight and capable duo. Thanks again for your time!

I honestly think this tool seems great. Its only issue is the Wave Clones have come and now they undercut even the budget Leatherman. And though Leatherman may be better quality, the price difference is more than many can justify.

I have a modded wave plus ( rebar pliers l, rebar awl, charge s30v blade) so my question is do you think the bolts and washers and internal tools fit in the wave?

It looks to me like a lot of the tools are the same, only the locking mechanism for the internal tools is different. I would be willing to bet that they would cross over.

Problem is, it cost more than the Rebar. The Rebar will whip the Curl like a red headed stepchild 🤛
