If you were to take Alfalfa and clover chop it up and half inch to an inch pieces put it in a blender add water and liquefied up you get a chlorophyll solution if you water your plants with yellowing leaves the chlorophyll from the Clover and Alfalfa will perk your plants up I do it every year had seven-foot-tall tomatoes last year

Thank you for this timely video. My cucumber s’ leaves started yellow OMG from the bottom but the upset parts of the vines are healthy. The edges of the leaves started yellowing first and then the whole leaves. I did not realize that they needed potassium since I fertilized them at planting. Today I just used miracle gro and I will start removing the yellow leaves tomorrow. I also need to be consistent with watering. Thank you!

Great into! Never thought about water temps. I’ve also heard that letting a cucumber rippen fully on the vine signals to the plant it’s done it’s job and can die
@reginaweiner38172 жыл бұрын
I would find these ripened cukes on the vine overnight. They are sweet and delicious. The seeds are mature and easy to scoop out. Just rinse them and dry them on paper towels to plant for your next crop. Some varieties produce ripe cukes for several weeks.
@littlewing56822 жыл бұрын
@@reginaweiner3817 interesting. Perhaps what I heard is just an old wives tale. I find they taste bitter the longer they stay on the vine, not sure what variety I have as I did not plant them from seeds
@reginaweiner38172 жыл бұрын
@@littlewing5682 I am sure this varies widely by variety. Whenever I can find the seeds, I grow National Pickling. The cukes will get huge if you let them, so you don't have to grow 2 varieties.

I have a question . How can cucumbers be around for as long as they have in nature and rain water weather it be cold rain water or warm rain water, how have they survived this long ...., I wonder.... Nature doesn't give warm water cause you think a plant needs it to be that temperature. Doesn't make sense

Cucumbers do not exist in nature. They have been heavily bred to produce bigger fruit, but now somewhat depend on human help. Much like for example high performance race horses.

I've always heard to not water your garden in the evening, but especially not tomatoes. They are very susceptible to disease if the leaves get and stay wet. You water them early in the day so if any water splashes on the leaves it will dry in the sun.
