We begin on the edge of the Lancashire and Yorkshire border at Greenberfield on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, taking the locks down towards the picture-postcard village of East Marton.
Here, the beautiful Yorkshire Countryside opens out with spectacular views across the hills and dales. We soak in the beauty from narrowboat Silver Fox and from the air by drone.
From East Marton, we make our way to Bank Newton and onto Gargrave where we rest after a day of record-breaking temperatures.

My wife and I ( and our families ) are from Barnoldswick and our house was 10 mins from those locks . We walked them all our childhood and as adults we walked our dog down the canal daily . We move to the USA 15 years ago and one of the reason we started watching your vlogs was how it kindled our love and memories of the Uk and the canals . Foxes Afloat I think it’s more than just nostalgia , canals and canal boats are quintessentially British, like fish and chips or the pub. Watching you guys helps keep us tethered to the motherland. The beauty of NOT doing a TV or streaming show is that C&S can do what they wan't when they want. As soon as you go down the path of having to produce on schedule you lose control of your life. Your camera and editing work on this vlog is some of your best so far Colin and I always look forward to your background music choices, lots of material I’ve never heard before. I hope you see this comment. I found your channel recently and have to say yours is now my favorite. Almost 150 years ago there were two brothers from York. One came to the United States and one stayed in England. We settled in Oregon on the West coast. About ten years ago through the marvel of ancestry websites we found our family! They lived in Leeds for many years and are currently in Birmingham. We’ve never known this side of our family until very recently and watching your stunning videography and hearing the wonderful stories and history of the places you travel through really make me feel like I’m connecting to a side of me and my family I’ve never known. In 06, I traveled to Scotland wow.. just wow. How magnificent. One thing I really loved was the genuine niceness of the folks I met there. In a time of such uncertainty and struggle people are looking for that connection to our roots it seems. The other reason I love your channel is because I sailed for ten years on research vessels in the gulf of Alaska, the pacific and the North Atlantic and Caribbean. Your boat is gorgeous and you take great care of it! It’s really clear how much work you put into your vlogs. The historical tidbits are great! You absolutely nailed it mate. The combination of your commentary, all the travel and history content and superb drone work makes it compelling viewing. The longer pieces with Silver Fox gliding along to music gives me a bit of that ASMR. Have you ever done a whole vlog with just a fixed camera at the front - bit like the "slow tv" that the BBC did ? It also helps that Shaun's got the comic timing of Eric Morecambe ! I only watched one vlog because I thought you were Leicester City fans, but I'm hooked now. Cheers lads

How high can you (1) get your drone to fly safely, and (2) how far away can it be and still in full control? Cheers from "the other side", hard by Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada...
