just on pure design alone and what the color palette gives, of course she's superior to the Hades 2 incarnation at least to me. it's a fundamental misunderstanding of the kind of fire Hestia is about. Hades 2 hestia's clothing and color scheme looks like a human bonfire, and it's core colors are red/black/off white. nothing in the design lends to anything in Hestia's profile of ability short of one instance of flame. why is this so wrong? Because if you look to the original greek interp, Hestia's got a much more simplistic look, and the anime Hestia this was compared to, Danmachi, right? her coloration is white with at least one slip of blue- more calming a palette for sure, and the prime color is white, which lends more to Family, Home, Hearth, and Purity. Fire does not need to be as obvious as the fire monks in elden ring, and it doesn't match up for her profile. she's more like a fire keeper, where the fire is more a stand in for familial warmth by my reckoning.

That's not true. A lot of the initial "foot in" of woke/ugly characters mostly spawned off wanting to explore different body types, faces, shapes and stuff. Especially in the artist crowd and there are places where ugly characters make sense or even improve the game. There are also times when, it actually dosen't matter that a character splits off heavily from traits of the original - eg: spin off of mythology - The main issue is that the activist use this as a weapon and go "you mad, bro, huh, huh, you really mad. Oh, you ARE mad, aren't you, show me how mad you are, racist!" It's all just an extension of the fact it's hip and part of the feminist zeitgeist to attack and insult men and their sexuality and be spiteful, activist little shits.

Language manipulation is a standard operating procedure for marxists. That's why their cultural branch refers to their vandalism of art as "fixing", because to fix something implies that it's broken or faulty. This however is in direct opposition to their other claim, which is that beauty is subjective and thus all versions of beauty are (supposedly) equally valid. But everything is political as well. Which means that certain forms of beauty are not only in need of fixing, but also that they are politically "incorrect". In conclusion this is a repackaged war on "the olds" from Chinese communists. Put simply, they're waging a war on the old versions of beauty (patriarchal beauty standards) in an effort to replace them with the new proletariat versions. Hence the inversion you pointed out - If the patriarchal standard is evil then the opposite must be good.

Not a one. And there are even characters with cleavage windows in their costumes, but they don't have any cleavage to show off. It was really off putting once I noticed it, even though I didn't even know about all this woke stupidity back then. And of course, now I see that crap everywhere the ESG touches.

In my childhood, Marvel Comics are viewed as borderline dorn in my country because the female characters have so much curves that Nurburging Nordschleife would look like an airfield lane. Now they prefer imaginary women than gets stuck if they fell into the Grand Canyon... How the tables have turned...

3:00 that's a character called Hestia from the anime "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?", it is mora a comparison between the two looks 3:25 that specific Uzaki was made by ZeeFixesArt, and as an example of Poe's Law, we still are not sure if it was a troll pretending to be a crazy SJW or if it was an actual SJW nutjob. Your point stands, it is not just randos "fixing" characters on the internet, the whole industry is doing the same, avoiding female beauty in order to not offend the ugly ones.

Danmachi is a pretty good series that is actually a look at the perspective of gods losing value in heaven and its perfection and seeking to interact with humanity in order to discover the enjoyment of everday life the gods aren't supposed to represent entirely who they take their name from which is why a character like Freya a goddess of love can have such a heartbreaking story in the show she's more human than god and it allows the humans to understand the gods and work with them to prosper it takes value in heroic ideals and shows that you must strive to improve yourself if you want to obtain your goals in life

Pencil and cel sheets with no undo simply required higher talent and competency to make anything presentable. In that workflow, a ugly drawing and a good one cost about the same. The new workflows are about simplifying and making things assembly line.

To be fair, who ever fixed the art didn't even fixed her. That's just Hestia as seen in Danmachi. That would be like taking the Athena from Saint Seiya and put her in Athena's clothes from KOF. That being said, the fact that people are screeching over this and not even recognizing Danmachi's Hestia confirms that a lot of these people are just tourists.

In case you didn't notice, Uzaki's shirt used to say "Sugoi Dekai" which roughly translates to awesomely huge. Now she is just "awesome" - according to the person who made it at least. When someone made a fan art of Mordred from Fate wearing that shirt with the Dekai crossed out, that was funny! This is just sad.

I remember that twitter artist had a habit of just changing 20+ anime characters into colour swapped, overweight, tree trunk leg, ugly versions of the characters and claimed to have "fixed" them. It caused a massive attack on the artist when someone made a drawn portrait of an irl person for a commission. That twitter artist "fixed" the portrait and you can kinda guess the reaction she had when the drawing looked nothing like her and said they fixed her. So it's no wonder the twitter artist's account was hacked when they were doing something as unhinged as that.
